Great clean place, new cabin was spotless. My daughters and I stayed 1 night and left early for a trail run in Angelsea..nice lady was helpful checking in late and check out early..lovely resident kitty came to say hi. Would love to come back and swim in the pool and experience the place.

We find some reviews absurd. Our stay was great and enjoyable. The place was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is superb and close to beaches and Anglesea.
You want silver service, you'll pay $500/night.

We chose to stay here as we were able to take our dog and she was allowed inside the cabin. This is not a luxury hotel, so if that's what you're after, go elsewhere. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This is a relaxing, quiet place to stay where you have everything you need for cooking and BBQing, very easy to prepare your own meals. There was plenty of space in the cabin, one double bed in one room, 4 bunk beds in another. There was also outside furniture, so you could sit outside and relax. They are very relaxed with the dogs, so she had the run of the place, played with other dogs and generally checked out the bush around the property. The property also has a tennis court and a swimming pool, nothing fancy, but a nice option. The location is a 5min drive into Angelsea, but being located in Bellbrae means you can avoid some of the traffic getting into Angelsea during peak times. The only things to remember is bring your own linen and towels, although I believe you can also rent them.

We read the reviews before we booked and although they were not got we decided to go there because we want to travel with our little dog.  The manager and the office he lives in was our first indication that things might be as bad as some of the reviews here. Not at all professional. Not at all clean or tidy. Not the best first impression.  The cabins were spacious. The cottage really didn't lack anything you might need.  We didn't use any of the bedding. We took everything including our own pillows and quilt and I'm glad we did because I had no faith in the cleanliness of what was there. Lots of dust,several dead blow flies a vacume cleaner there to use but no bags for it. The floor was slate and very very dirty.  Do not go bare foot there! The interior was Pine cladding and it held the dust as did the skirting.  The lock on the door needed attention as we found it hard to lock and unlock.  The managers border collie jumped at our car passenger door when he saw our little dog sitting on my lap, badly scratching the paintwork. I told the manager this and he didn't offer anything not even an apology.  It's a shame because this property run properly could be really nice.  I'm not sure why they hadn't taken on board any of the comments posted here.  Guess they aren't interested in improving this business.  Tariff is way to high for what you get especially as I recommend you take cleaning products with you, also wash all utensils and crockery before use. Won't be back. 
 

Not disappointed

This place was filthy. Rubbish had not been emptied so even staying outside was smelly. Mattress was stained and behind the bed there were soft drink ring pulls. Shower mat was from another guest and was filthy. A dirty mop had been left in the bathroom. Unable to open most of the windows as most of the fly screens were missing. Whole cabin had a funny smell and the fridge smelt really bad.  We were unable to stay there it was so bad.

Very Very Dirty

Booked this for a weekend away over new year for two. $150 per night. Wasn't advised that we needed to bring our own bed fitted sheet. Then offered us a sheet for $10 extra per night! Looking at the state of the linen that was provided we decided to purchase our own from a local supermarket.. along with a can of disinfectant spray! After attempting to rid the cabin of its smell, hardly able to open the sticky taped windows we made the stupid decision to move the bed away from the wall. The amount of dust would fill a vacuum cleaner bag along with broken purple pegs. 
The beds were from the 90's with stains all over, owner said it was okay as there was a mattress protector on the bed... this mattress was far from protected! 
We finally had enough and asked for a refund. 
We questioned the owner if he had moved or cleaned behind the bed, the answer was no.
We did get a refund. 
For another $15 we stayed in a Geelong hotel with breakfast included.
