Snyder

This is an old motel, and it shows.  The driveway is gravel, and inside some things needed a fresh coat of paint.  The rooms are small.  The tub had mineral stains.  But the bed was clean.  I looked carefully for hair, and found none.  The sheets appeared very fresh and clean.  The bed was comfortable, and the heater worked and kept the room the right temperature.  The TV also worked.  The towels were clean but thin.  

Probably 95% of the time I spend in a motel room is spent sleeping, so for 95% of any stay, I am utterly unaware of the size of the room, mineral stains on the bathtub, etc.  

The motel is a series of brick buildings, each building has three motel rooms.  This may cut down on noise, but I wouldn't know, since I had no neighbors on either side of my room.  The motel was surprisingly empty, considering it was almost Christmas.  It was very quiet all night long.  

I paid $45 plus tax, which I believe brought the total to about $51.  
If all you want is a clean, comfortable room for over night, and a clean place to take a shower in the morning, this place is as good as any other motel, and cheaper than most.

Operated by a very nice lady and her husband. They have 5 RV spots which are well maintained AND level!  Water, electric, sewer and cable all worked great. We had a rainy night but we're not subjected to puddles or mud!!  Unable to get wifi which seems to be a reoccurring theme at RV stops for us. Overall a great place to weather a night or two.

I can overlook a lot of stuff when I'm traveling on my personal budget.  This motel ticks all the boxes for me traveling on a personal budget: clean bed linens, clean bathroom & towels, A/C and refrigerator cold, carpets vacuumed, waste bins clean, and the rate is very good in comparison to newer hotel options in Snyder TX.  That's why I give it a 4 of 5 rating.  Past that, it's an old facility, needs remodeling, no coffee-maker, no hair dryer,  etc etc. If that bothers you, stay in the brand-named hotels near Hwy 84 pay another $50 per night .

Good for the traveler on a personal budget

The room was a good size.
Clean.
LCD TV.
Fridge.
Microwave.
It's got a 1950's vibe going on.
I wanted to tent camp but they said no.
So I got a room for about $55 USD
A/C worked good. 
No real complaints except a coffee maker in the room would have been nice.

It's retro like being at grandma's house.

Not a new place, but fixed up nicely and very clean.  We found that this motel provided everything we needed for a nights stay at a reasonable price.  If in the Snyder, Texas area, we would stay there again.
