Therefore, every children from ages 0 to 17 must present a valid ID and birth certificate along with the parents ID to verify their relationship. If the minor is not accompanied by his or her parents, the accompanying adults must have a written and authenticated authorization along with the previously mentioned documentation. LOCAL TAX LAW Based on local tax laws, all Colombian citizens, resident foreigners or foreigners that do not have a room package with at least two services bought, must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) only when receiving a PIP3, PIP5, PIP6, PIP10, TP7, TP11 stamp or TP12 visa upon entry to the country; Exemption only applies to room package rates (accommodations). Permit must be shown upon arrival. This tax is not automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation.
