Having just stayed here for 3 nights I found the chalet just lovely, it was spacious and clean and with most facilities one would need. The sheets etc were spotless but I found the mattress so hard and this unfortunately kept me awake, as did the people in the adjoining chalet, try and request a detached one if possible. The swimming pool was clean and you were provided with separate towels for the pool which is a bonus. The cafe area is kept clean and the staff are very helpful though I didn’t eat anything other than I had coffee and beer. There are tea and coffee making facilities in your room. The service desk are extremely helpful and will arrange anything they can for you especially taxis. Grab are not actually Grab!. Just  local taxi firms who answer your Grab calls. My Airport taxis cost roughly 265/280 vnd and I couldn’t get a motorcycle other than hire one from the lodge. The beach is 12 mins walk away but I found a taxi drive to Mango bay 35 vnd and I found It much quieter there and I ate at the On The Rocks restaurant which was amazing. It has. Massive range on the menu, the staff are lovely and your facing the sea. It’s definitely a must. All in all Island Lodge is a great place to stay if you just want to chill in the middle of! Well no where really. 

Lovely peaceful place 

We stayed here for two weeks and adored it. The rooms are lovely, well kept and cleaned daily. The location is great ( but difficult for the cab driver to find, not sure why!) def worth seeking out. The owner is incredibly helpful with anything you need, speaks perfect English, is a delight to deal with. The price is very reasonable and the beach and good eating both very close at hand. We hated to leave, this spot made our stay so enjoyable!

Truly a gem!

Like coming home this place is beautiful,calm in the garden setting and a haven of peace. The room is big,airy and clean the bed so comfy. A short walk away is the beach and restaurants and cafes. The host is amazing ! 

A haven

This place was so cute! Large rooms and en suite bathrooms in bungalows arranged in a charming little garden. 5 minutes walking will get you to the beach; we were able to use the well-appointed beach at Famiana Resort across the street with no issues. The host, Phuong, was such a sweetheart! She was waiting at the gate when we arrived, arranged our transport to/from the airport, answered all our questions, and did her best to make sure we had a great stay. Due to the weather, we didn't take advantage of her motorbike rentals or her full-day boat/beach tour, but both seemed great and inexpensive. Given the prices of other places on the island, we really felt like we got all the comforts and amenities that we needed (like AC!) at a great price, plus the added kindness of Phuong. All around great stay! 

A Quality Stay Minutes Away from the Beach!

Phuong is amazing host!!! She and her brother make this place special Anything that we needed was quickly arranged - motorcycles, laundry, massages, direction to best local places for pho and for bun, breakfast, transportation on and off the island, even reservations for Cambodia. However the best was our amazing Christmas dinner cooked by Phuong brother- best rolls, calamari and seafood hot pot in Vietnam! Bungalows are large and are cleaned every day. Highly recommend. Please do yourself a favor and ask Phuong to have dinner there.

One of last gems left on Phu Quoc

I've been there with group of friends December 2017. We arrived late afternoon and ms. Phuong was waiting for us smiling and frendly. Very nice place, clean and tidy; air condition and fridge in the room. Next morning 3 motorbikes were waiting for us in the yard. Ms. Phuong is the perfect and friendly host-recommended very nice and not expensive placecs for food, places to go and see and the best part was prepaired dinner specially for us from her brother-home made local dishes-absolutly delicious☺☺☺Upon leaving Phoung organize for us transport & tickets for the ferry, transport and visas to Cambodia.
I highly recomend The Venue Family bungalos.

Happy at Phuong's Venue family houses

It's like the other reviews say: Fuong is very nice and responsive, and the guesthouse is nice, with a beautiful area and comfortable mattresses, every room has both air conditioning and a fan, and that's a very nice option. But, I think, one thing: thin walls with an interesting sound effect - everything the neighbors say behind the wall turns into a walk. So if your daytime patterns don't match, and sleep is sensitive, it's better to sleep in the sheds:).

It's a contradiction.

It's very quiet, no noise from the road is heard at all. It's very quiet, it's kind of domestic. It's a 5-minute walk across the road. There are 5 restaurants along the road, a taxi stand, a small market and a moped rental. There are a couple of shops.

That's great!

The Venue GuestHouse is a really good, small facility in and of itself. Positive: - cozy, quite family-friendly facility - close to the beach (you can walk about 5 min) - price/performance is hard to beat - the rooms were cleaned daily - very, very friendly owner - organization of scooters, etc. Everything went without problems negative: - without scooters not much can be achieved (the average beach is ok, but there are much nicer ones on the island) - unfortunately we had the quietest money according to Bungalow (as it was located directly next to and partly under the owners' premises) - the German and English speaking owner definitely traveled to Hanoi on the second day, which was just through her name, which is definitely a great place to stay (the hotel is definitely a great place to stay, but if you want to get a super-friendly location, the hotel is also a great place to stay, especially if you want to stay in the old town of Venice, and if you want to have a super-friendly hotel, the hotel is a great place to stay, even if you want to stay

Actually, good, but...

Proper and clean rooms Very pleasant and useful staff Good scooter rental, which is essential for moving Not to take the breakfast expensive enough for what it is, a short walk across the road will take you to the beach club small bungalow and restaurant, good breakfast excellent fish curry and good Chilean wine at a reasonable price plus very nice waterfront setting to eat.
