I stayed at the Giang Son Guest House for 3 nights and everything about the time was positive and pleasant. I had a very comfortable room with a large double bed and clean bathroom with hot water for approximately $14usd per night. This fee included breakfast. There were 4 breakfasts on the menu to choose from and although it was standard western cuisine it was hearty and in good portion. The breakfast area was on the bottom floor of the building that opened into the street. The staff would drive their scooters into the room for parking and that added some amusement. I will advise the guesthouse (4 floors) had no elevator so if you have difficulty with stairs this may not be the hotel for you. The staff was friendly and very accommodating with my needs. My room was cleaned well and promptly every morning. They helped me with my travel to and from the airport and also another location in District 7. I also went on two tours during my stay and the tour guide knew exactly where the guesthouse was located and picked me up in the lobby. The guesthouse is a very short walk to Bui Vien Walking Street. I do recommend this guesthouse. It is clean with friendly staff with a great price.

Great Price and Better Location

Stayed for three nights during our time in HCMC. Didn't book beforehand, just turned up and luckily they had a room. Staff spoke reasonable english and when they weren't sure they used google translate. Room was nice, bed reasonably comfy, although we had asked for a double it was definitely two singles pushed together and as a result the sheets didn't quite fit the bed, meaning we kept stealing from eachother all night. TV in the room, no safe but did have fridge. Shower was nice, warm and at a good pressure. Location wise it's off of the main streets so a bit quieter which was great when trying to sleep. My main problem was the breakfast, which was included. The options were three types of egg or a bread roll, you dont like eggs like me, you're a bit screwed.

Good location 

The hostel is not located within the main highway but it is very easy to find. There are a lot of dining options in the area and access to ATMs and convenience stores is easy.  It is also near some massage shops/spas...perfect for people who are tired from day tours. 

The hotel has no elevator but the staff will help you carry your luggage. Rooms are not very large but are clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday. A flat screen TV, refrigerator and hair dryer are among the available amenities. Wifi connection in the rooms is very fast. Reception is 24/7. Staff is very friendly and con speak good Enlish 

The only thing I did not like is the limited breakfast options but for the price we paid, not bad.

This hotel is set on a quiet street just a stone's throw from the lively beer street.  Staff are very pleasant, rooms were spotless and breakfast was good.
Note. There is no lift so you need to have a reasonable level of fitness if you're on one of the higher floors.
You can book tours directly with hotel if you wish.
Would not hesitate staying here again if back in HCMC.

Great location!

My husband and I stayed a week at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms was large and plenty big enough for a couple. The area was quiet with everything within walking distance. Great location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Location

Good location, is located on a side street of pub street, and close to some attractions. The other attractions could be reached by bus, of which the guy in the reception would gladly help you with. Facilities are good and worth the price. The best part though was the staff, who were very attentive and helped us with pretty much everything even after we checked out. Highly recommended!!
