We arrived at 10 pm after a long days travel to find, though the address was correct, the name had been changed. THIS IS NOW SAIGON CITI Hotel and is under new management. They would not accept our booking because it was made under the old name of Dragon Palace, and we used a booking service they no longer worked with (BedsOnline). We felt we had no option but to pay for the accommodation again. The front desk lady, Ty, was sympathetic and gave us a small discount. 

To be fair, Beds Online did offer alternative accommodation later, but we had paid by then. We did get a refund afterwards. Big shoutout to Ty who looked after us very well after that. Please, TripAdvisor, update this hotel entry.

As far as the hotel's quality is concerned, I would echo must of the other reviews, a lot of things are ok but more attention needs to be paid to cleanliness

Great Location with friendly staff

The breakfast buffet was perfect for this price included with the room the fresh eggs they cook to order or the fresh bread was great. We had a front room which was very big for 3 people and the beds confortable. A bit noisy but the Dragon Palace II is a great 3 star hotel.

One of the best 3star hotels

Very nice hotel, interior still looks new, the beds is comfortable, I never seen such huge pillows.  The towels are big and still quite new.  Our triple executive room is huge.  1 parallel street away from the noisy Bui Vien street but easy access from a alley just a few steps away. 

Breakfast is simple buffet with a mix of savoury and sweet.

Quite value for money.

The hotel was not my choice but provided as part of the Vietnam tour. Place is perfect and probably my only positive  evaluation. Walls are to thin and you listen all showers in the hotels through thin walls. Windows of most rooms are tiny and watching to the indoor opening. 
I would not choose it as myself. 

Below average 

Very happy with everything and I will for sure stay here again next time I come to the city. The staffs are very friendly and welcome. They even have someone to help me to bring the luggage to my room.

Friendly Staff, Clean room and cheap price

If you are considering a stay in this hotel - I urge you to reconsider. My room was dirty with stains on the bedsheets when I arrived. The AC repeatedly switches itself off, the bathroom is in no fit state with a leaky toilet. The breakfast is a shambles. To top it all off, the hotel staff were generally incredibly impolite as though they have seen a million tourists and need not bother to try and be nice to individual guests. I have travelled down the length of Vietnam and have found all previous staff kind and always willing to help in any way - not the case here. STAY AWAY TOURISTS!

Terrible hotel, disgusting hygiene and incredibly unhelpful and obstructive staff

The hotel doesnt have wifi which is a necessity for travellers though it is mentioned in the offer. The staff is not helpful at all. I can definitely get a better hotel with the same rate we paid. The staff is not sympathetic at all. 

No Wifi - Non recommended hotel

We stayed 4 nights here, room is pretty tiny especially the toilet, I don't know how a big person fit in this toilet. Air condition is barely working, no fan. Breakfast is the same everyday plus the area for breakfast is tiny too, you have to wait for people to finished before you can have a seat for there are only 5 tables.

Good part, it's in the center of the busiest area. 1 block away from walking street, 20 minutes walk to Saigon Square. Staff are all friendly.

Variable breakfast

Very good location - everything in walking distance, decent, clean room, air-conditioned... my only problem was the windows looking at the inside corridor although the corridor itself had normal windows to let the outside air in.
Breakfast was nice, both Vietnamese and European provided with a good variety of fruits and beverages.
