In general, the city has many advantages, many tourist attractions, the food is rich, and it has very good security, 100% recommended.If you stay in the center, everything is close by, don't worry, there are changing houses and laundries, many restaurants and exquisite cafes with pasta pie frolas, you won't want to leave Punta del Este.

A charming city.

Good location, but there are better hostels, the beds have no sheets and the bathrooms lack a bit of cleanliness but it's good for the price plus it's in the east end plaza and only a few blocks from all the bars and ballrooms.

He stayed in better hostels, but the good thing about this one was its location, as it was easy to access the different places and beaches of La Brava and de la Mansa.The best part was walking down the main street: Gorlero and enjoying the restaurants and shops.

Very well ubiquitous.

It has a breakfast service but the time to go is very early so we often miss it. The ovens and rooms did not work very well in the hot summer. It is very well located, the central area is a block from the Gorlero and halfway between the mansa and the brava.

Very good location 

I must clarify that I am not very pretentious but there must be a minimum of quality. Firstly, they did not give me sheets, secondly, the underground rooms that sounded uninhabitable due to the smell and lack of oxygen. The bathrooms are unpleasant like all hostels in the area. At the eastern tip they cannot be charging international prices for fourth places. They must be at the level of the price offered by their rooms and even charge half. The only rescatable is the location.

Of course, you can't expect luxury in Punta del Este for $18 a night, but for the price it was totally fine! The 6-bedroom we slept in was clean, just like the lounge and shower. Breakfast (instant coffee, toast) WiFi and a PC with inet connection was included. In front of the house there is a small terrace with chairs, tables and umbrellas and the location is great. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Good value for money for backpackers

I have nothing to say about this hostel cause... me and my girlfriend totally loved it!

I just wanna thank  the staff because they did everything they could to help us (our bags were robbed at the terminal and they were really helpful about this!!)

I got bed-bugs but the hostel staff were adamant I didn't get them from their hostel and rather caught them from the beach, despite being in Buenos Aires for a week.  To redeem the situation, the offered to pay for my medication, but later refused when I gave them the receipt from the pharmacy and they claimed it was too expensive.

Unfriendly and rude staff, who couldnt speak a word of English.  I asked them for a female only dorm and ended up sharing with a man!!! The lady at the hostel couldn't understand me when i queried the situation.  

No storage for backpacks and mine ended up on the sofa.  The shower was mouldy and the kitchen of a very poor standard.  

They offer breakfast but you have to make it yourself.  The day of your departure they wont even let you use the toilet.

Sleeping rough would have been a more enjoyable experience......

Stay well clear - bed-bug ridden

This is an example of "Let's not better our hostel and service at all, leave things as awful as they are since our location is great and there always will be people staying here".

First of all, the bathrooms and showers are the worst I've ever seen!  

The room I stayed in had a terrible smell and there was no way to open that fixed window!  In addition to that, the fan in the ceiling did not work to help us getting rid of that horrible smell. And you couldn't distinguish the internal walls between wood or just a small cardboard!  So it was really really noisy!

Also they promote bike rental and when you go there you see them with the tires totally flat.

My impression is that they have no intention at all on improving that place.

Definitely, I'd never go back there nor recommend it.  I'd rather pay a lot more money and stay in a hotel!
