If you make a complaint about something then watch out for the management company to clamp down on you with vengeance. If you pay the price to stay in a “luxury” 3 bedroom condo and a bed is so horrible and old, with stains on it even, then you deserve to receive what you pay for. But not here…..complain and it will put you on the black list!!  Management company is downright nasty 🤮

BETTER BUYS IN THE AREA

DON’T DO IT! Resort is nice enough but Elite Management is a very dishonest company to book through. When you leave take videos of every single room in the condo and DO NOT leave your keys in their lock box.  Go get someone and give them the keys in person and have them come up at time of checkout to look over your condo. Good luck finding an actual person to assist you while you are there. They will say you didn’t leave your keys and charge a 100 a piece for each key. We were also charged a 299 cleaning fee and they kept our deposit because a bed wasn’t stripped and there was a couple bottles of water in a trash can in one of the bedrooms. Find somewhere else to stay that takes care of their guests. Seems they take great pride in servicing their owners with exclusive benefits and not much care for their rental guests.  Also stated no emotional support animals/pets and we seen many people on the property with dogs. I guess they were “owners”. Anyway the Avista resort is a great option if your looking for somewhere in that area of North Myrtle beach.   Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. We chose this place due to my mom being handicapped and thought the unit would be a little bigger. It wasn’t any different than any other 3 bedroom condo we’ve rented. I never write  bad reviews but hopefully this helps some other people that may be on the fence about booking here.  Save your hard earned money it’s not worth 500 a night. 

If you do still choose to stay make sure you bring your deep cleaning supplies for your vacay so you can deep clean your unit. You will still pay  the 299.00 cleaning “fee”  for what I have no idea as there was dust an inch think behind our furniture and  food wrappers under a few of the beds.

Dishonest management

The facility is awesome and the condo was perfect ! I am rating this based on the staff and people working in the building. Very Rude!  Didn’t get the name of the guy in the parking garage. We were driving a pretty big vehicle and thought it would be fine on the first floor because it was bigger than most of the other vehicles on the floor. He told us we had to go up and we asked why. He said because he said so and he was gonna give all the smaller cars tickets and we would get one too. He was just very rude about the entire situation. Throughout the week we still seen smaller vehicles on the first floor but it is whatever. Other staff issue were the women in the tiki bar. More nasty attitudes who picked and choose who they wanted to serve. I stood there  several minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged  even though all  of them looked at me several times. meanwhile they were  serving  several other people who walked up  to the bar after me. I am a bartender myself and I would never just ignore someone. So I never even tried to get a drink there the rest of the week obviously my money or tip wasn’t good enough for them…

Great place! Staff not so much!

Such a good time and so so so clean. The definition of a PERFECT vacation. The pool was always clean, perfect distance to the beach and the rooms were beyond beautiful and perfect. Took my 3 teen son and well there wasn’t much for them to do due to it being a little bit of a walking distance from most things. But besides that all was good. 

Perfection!!!!! Would stay again in a heartbeat 

As a domestic violence survivor I was confronted  with one of the worst situations. My family and I have been there one day we had  been out shopping all day. An unknown man bangs on our door screaming at my family to call the property manager, which was very upsetting we did not know who he was, or how he knew our room number or my name.   so we called the unknown phone number the screaming man gave for property manager who said she had a report that we were smoking on the balcony.  The lady offered no explanation as to where the complaint came from or how she was sure it was true. She was so hostile and angry, my PTSD kicked in she demanded we pack up and leave immediately, after paying in advance $3000 for the week.  I would have said or done anything to  have her stop the angry  yelling at me and being extremely abusive. I’m not even sure of what I said to her on the phone, I  had several calls from this unknown  number but not one voicemail, which I find very odd.  My family and I vacated the property the following morning rented another great spot and had a great vacation. South Carolina law the maximum penalty for smoking in a no smoking area is $25 not 3000. We did burn some sage outside as usual to cleanse the space but we were  not smoking.   I have not heard another word from anyone at Mar Vista/Elite management I had stayed there with my family many times before this was a horrible upsetting experience, I’m still feeling the psychological effects.  It was very frightening to experience such anger and agitation on your first day of vacation.  Steer clear of this place.

Mar Vista

This was our 4th stay at Mar Vista Grande.  The condo building itself is very nice and kept clean. The pools and hot tubs are awesome.  Lazy river could use some new tubes and air in the existing ones.  This was the dirtiest condo we have ever rented at Myrtle Beach in 20 years.  We had to clean the unit thoroughly. There was so much urine laying around the toilets it had to have built up over several weeks. The floors were dirty and so was the furniture.  The bedroom carpet made our feet dirty.  Very disappointed in the cleaning.  Everyone hides behind COVID as the reason things aren’t done.  Not worth the price.  I don’t know if the owner looks in on their property but they should.  We swept food containers and dirt galore from under the living room furniture.  Do not recommend this unit.

Unit 1405

We stayed at Mar Vista, Unit 806 this summer for the first time. We absolutely loved it. The place was so spacious and the fact that there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms made it a great place to stay. The unit was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Felt very homey and comfortable. Furnishings were wonderful and the view from the balcony was terrific. I have told everyone I know about this unit and recommended they stay there on their next trip to North Myrtle Beach. It was fantastic. Not a bad thing to say about this unit. Very well kept and maintained.

UNIT 806

Mar Vista Grande is a well maintained condo building right on the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach. We stayed in unit 1404 which is a perfectly updated corner unit with lots of windows and a fantastic balcony. It was incredibly clean as well. Everything was spotless when we arrived - the windows, floors, bathrooms, appliances, etc. Truly the perfect unit. We used Elite Management for our booking. It was easy and Cara was wonderful at answering all questions.
The building is well maintained. The parking deck has plenty of spaces. The elevators are clean and fast. The hallways are kept clean and staff was always cleaning/drying the hallway floor in the pool area. We never used the pools since we prefer the beach, but the pool areas indoor/outdoor looked to be well maintained and clean even though always in use. 
MVG isn’t very close to restaurants or other activities so plan on driving. Main St isn’t too far of a walk, but not much going on there. Easy drive to Barefoot Landing and many other restaurants and activities along Hwy 17. MVG is also just minutes away from plenty of kayak excursions. Do your research and book early for these activities. We used Great Escapes for our kayaking tour. 
The area is pleasantly quiet and low key. Families were nicely spread out on the beach and even in the ocean. Lifeguards are right there in front of the building. The city also offers chair/umbrella rentals in front of the building. We did not rent from the city though. We used North Strand Beach Service instead. For $150 for the entire week we rented 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and 2 boogie boards. They were delivered to our condo door before we arrived. They picked up our last FULL day there. It is a terrific service and well worth the price.
If you are looking for a family friendly getaway in a quieter atmosphere MVG is the place!

Absolutely Perfect!

We had the best time! The condo was perfect and super clean. The pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers were cleaned daily. The building itself was very safe codes to get into from beach and pool areas and parking garage. Love that the garage was attached to hotel and never had a problem finding a spot. Definitely recommend!

Mar Vista Grande

The property (Mar Vista) is very nice, extremely clean and has a great Tiki Bar, lazy river & outdoor & indoor pools. The on-site property management tried their nest to make our stay somewhat enjoyable. However….condo #1401 which is described as a penthouse unit is awful!!! The owner should be ashamed of the quality of beds/mattresses, cooking essentials, TVs, furniture and patio/balcony furniture. The toilet in one of the bedrooms ran every 5 mins which creates a loud noise throughout the entire condo. Will not stay in this unit again. The owner needs to spend some of their money & upgrade to what classifies as a true Penthouse Condo. Stay clear of 1401 and the owner might be forced to take pride in their condo.
