Found Aquarius by accident while looking for another hotel. I was very please with the Reception from Sue. I had just forgotten my wallet 6 miles back. She checked me in without a CC and then I went back and found my wallet. 
The hotel is in a perfect location for visitors. The place clean was very clean the price was better than expected. Thank you fou the nice stay.

Renters BEWARE!!! 
    After a really rough morning went and rented a room for two weeks came to over $1,000 after deposits and fees and the room rental rate... was in the room MAYBE ten minutes and saw roaches... by the beach.. it is what it is. So bought roach traps at the store out of my own pocket... laid in bed for maybe 1.5-2hrs and got ate ALIVE by bed begs. Wasn’t even under the covers, I laid on top of them. 

When confronting the lady at the front desk was told no refunds however was given back one weeks rental of $450. Was told the deposit doesn’t get refunded... ummm this the ONLY hotel that doesn’t give back deposits... we wasn’t even in the room for more than 3hrs max.. thank god we had not unloaded all of our things

And the best part!!! They tried to act surprised that there was bed bugs when a lady in another building owned by them was complaining about bed bugs too and they had a child and was given less than $100 back... unbelievable.

This place is a joke!!  Renter beware!!

BED BUGS!!!!!

Ok- we just needed a place to stay. But... when we first checked in the property itself a block away- first room key did not work. Had to go back to office for another key and it was to a different room- so key worked but could hardly get door open. We go in - smelly. A dirty towel in bathroom. TV would not cut on. Toilet made horrible noises. One of the 2 beds was not clean - in between sheets - hair and “debris” and stains. Only given 2 towels in a room that was two full beds. Mold in the tub. Quite and bed was lumpy! I am truly wary of the smaller hotels and specifically for these reasons. 🤭😮😐

Do not stay here!

Last time we were here we had one problem: they lost my moms reservation for one of the suites as we had my brother, my mom, my father, my grandmother, myself, & both of my children. Other than this one thing weve stayed with the aquarius everytime we go down and not once had problems.

Family vacation

Was a weekly tenant there was charged sec.fee $100, key fee $20, and CC fee $15 plus $175 weekly rate, they have drug deals going on there, but they work with the local authorities(bull), infested rooms, toilet don't flush, sink in the bathroom back up, microwave is nasty in the inside, stove outdated, the carpet has an ordor. They put a a notice on office door of the increase but did not say when it's supposed to take effect and how much it's supposed to be okay within couple days they put notice on the door on the 26th stating that it was going to be a $25 increase if you go pay your rent on the 26th do you think you are liable to pay the increase if it's supposed to take effect on the 27th okay winning office to make a payment and sure enough on the 26th they already had it in the computer for the $25 increase what you just put notice on Doors so I don't understand how they think it's feasible to do business in that manner so I would not advise anyone that have to stay somewhere for a long-term going to South then make it clear because these rooms are not what they trying to charge before they have a bad odor smell because the carpets have not been change probably since the building been built no matter how much you vacuum you try to clean that smell it's still there you have window unit for your AC they got duct tape around it and you still can feel air when it's cold, you have a old school lock if anyone wants to come in they can, they don't give you notice about when anybody coming to spray coming up put stuff in there they just walk in when you feel like walking in specially if you don't open up the door. But this is not a reputable business,  they do not care about anyone that come there that care about the money that's why they got a lot of druggies drunks that stays in these units

Don't waste your money

THIS PLACE WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF! FIRST OF ALL, MY WIFE AND I CHECKED IN LAST MONDAY AND CHECKED OUT A DAY EARLY SO WE CAN RETURN TO CHARLOTTE FOR HER DOCTOR APPOINTMENT. SHE IS 8 MONTHS PREGNANT. WE DECIDED ON STAYING HERE FOR 2 REASONS, FIRST BEING THAT WE WERE TOLD A GOOD PRICE AND SECONDLY WE WERE ON A LIMITED TIME FRAME TO CHECK IN TO A PLACE CKNSIDERING WE GOT DOWN KINDA LATE. I CHECKED THE WEEKLY ROOM OUT BEFORE WE DECIDED TO COMMIT TO STAYING FOR A WEEK CONSIDERING THEY HAVE A BIG SIGN AT THE FRONT DESK THATS SAYS "NO REFUNDS". ONE OF THE 2 A/C WINDOW UNITS DID NOT WORK, NEITHER DID EITHER OF THE 2 MICROWAVES THAT WERE IN THE ROOM. AFTER CHECKING IN WE COULDNT FIND THE REMOTE FOR THE TV SO MY WIFE CALLED THE FRONT DESK (FROM HER CELL PHONE CONSIDERING THEY DONT EVEN HAVE PHONES IN THE ROOMS). THEY TOLD HER THAT WE HAVE TO "GO BUY OUR OWN REMOTE"......SERIOUSLY? THE ROOMS ARE OLD OF COURSE, I DONT WANT TO BASH THEM TOO MUCH ON THESE ASPECTS CONSIDERING WE DID CHECK THE ROOM OUT BEFORE WE DECIDED TO STAY SO OBVIOUSLY WE KNEW WHAT WE WERE GETTING INTO. I DID NOT HOWEVER KNOW THAT THE ACTUAL WINDOWS FACING THE FRONT BALCONY ARE IN FACT NOT WINDOWS AT ALL BUT RATHER CHEAP, THIN PIECES OF PLASTIC CUT-OUT. THEY LITERALLY POP RIGHT OUT OF THE WINDOW FRAMES. I GUESS THE THING THAT UPSET US THE MOST AND THE REASON WE WILL NEVER EVEN CONSIDER STAYING AGAIN IS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE CROOKS AND LIARS. When we checked in the lady (her name was Debra) charged me a $50 security deposit and a $10 key fee (the locks are old school, real turn style keys). I returned the key and we did not damage the room or take anything that did not belong to us but the lady (old white woman from up north) would not give me my money back. She said that they "only refund half of the security deposit" when you check out. So instead of giving me my $60 back, we were only given $35. When I informed this woman that I was told that I would be getting my full $60 back as long as the key was returned and nothing stolen etc. She said "It says in the contract that we only return half of your deposit"....LADY - HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE ANY SENSE!? If it is a DEPOSIT then it is technically my money until it is forfeited by us (which again, key was returned and nothing stolen/damaged). Unfortunately we did not have time to wait around for the police but this is THEFT! I found my receipt in the car about 10 mins after we left and upon reading it we discovered that it says NOTHING about keeping half of the security deposit. I honestly do not care about the money as much as I do the principle. This is at best a very dishonest and misleading business tactic and at worst probably criminal. I forgot to mention, when we initially checked in we were given one price and then after we went to look at the room (after I had already given the lady my money) she called the "owner" and said that the price JUST went up. Thus I was stuck with really no options. We feel duped. I would not have posted this review but the whole deposit thing is the straw that broke the camel's back. Not to mention the pool is a literal cess pool, no pun intended. It is full of disgusting trash and dirty water and other assorted nastiness. The door barely stays shut and you have to wiggle the key and work the knob simultaneously considering the room had previously either been raided by the police or someone had kicked the door in to rob someone or something because there is a bullet hole in the door that goes all the way through to the closet wall inside. So perhaps someone was even murdered in room 220 of the Aquarius "Family" Motel. Again, we SORT OF knew what we were getting into beforehand but had no idea the extent that these people would go to just to save a few pennies. Our necks and backs have been sore for days and there are no dishes or silverware or anything to cook with, so what good is paying for a 'kitchen". I'd appreciate an apology and my money back! As you can see, the paper I signed says NOTHING about them keeping half of the deposi!

DISHONEST, DISGUSTING, BEWARE!

This place is a Filthy DUMP !!!,We rented it long term.The room had dirty bed sheets,carpet,microwave,windows and curtains.My grandson got bites all over his body.Outside the building looks like a condemed.Dangerous pipes,grounds,walkway,trash pool,etc.,etc.,etc.The City,County,State Pass the puck while no one does anything.They own more than one building !,They don't show pictures of this Dump.

Horrible Night Mare of MYRTLE BEACH,SC !!!!

Place is absolutely disgusting. Bugs. Food leaking out of microwave. We found loose change in the dirty unchanged sheets. Absolute pit. Paid for room. Then went to room to find nothing but filth. People were ride as he'll. They refused to refund money. Scumbags. You will see just looking at the place
