Decent clean and quiet

Vintage motel in rural Kansas town.  I did not expect much.  Still disappointed that there was no coffee maker.  Listing online needs updated...there is no pool...it is now a really nice fenced garden.Only one night for auction, so, it was better than sleeping in the truck.

I was very disappointed in the cost. You told me what my cost would be, but they added 8.50 additional for a "internet fee". I was not aware of this. Very upsetting.

We booked this motel and it was the worst room we have ever stayed in, ontop of that they charged us an extra $10 for booking through Expedia???? I thought that was supposed to save you money? I was below freezing outside and there was no heat turned on in the room lol, you could see your breath. We turned the heat on and over the next few hours it warmed up. The bathroom was full of black mold, the rug had white mould growing as the ceiling had leaked alot, the whole room had the worst musty smell, the bed had clean sheets but the mattress smelled like someone had defecated on the one side lol, it was really that bad, my wife and I slept on the extreme one side to avoid it, there was no other option for us or we would have ran out screaming lol, I have never left a negative review before but if this saves at least one person from booking through this place then it was worth it

Horrific, avoid at all costs!

I know in a small Kansas town there is not much choice for accomodations, but it really wouldn't take much to make this a better place. The furnishings were older, but most notably, the cleanliness of the rooms could be improved quite a bit. The air conditioner worked fine for me, but there was a mildewy smell coming from the unit. There were mold spots in the corners of the tub/shower. There was plenty of hot water. When they came to clean in the morning, it seems all they did was replace the towels. They did not have a vacuum with them and the carpet definitely needed vacuuming. My sister in another room felt the mirrors & tv had streaks & gunk on them that should have been cleaned but I didn't notice that in my room. The television was newer, there was a small fridge and microwave. I actually liked the feather pillows on the beds. There was free internet, but it was not of sufficient strength to actually be useful. The pool was empty. The family who runs the motel do have accents and can be a bit hard to understand on the phone, but in person the son was easy to deal with. Work on the cleanliness and this would be a perfectly adequate motel.

Affordable, but.........

Well since there are no choices in Washington, ks this is what you get. They were clean enough but smelled strong of mildew. Owners can barely speak English and busted into our room without knocking at 7 am!! Also went to the 2nd room we had and woke everyone up in there at 7 am banging on the door! Hope we never have to stay here again

I work with Hospitals so I asked staff which one was better.  This one had internet.  The other one didn't.  I am actually in the hotel NOW.  It's Clean, But Old, No odors and Nice hot water.  Bath tub is very old, but big.  The desk lady is East Indian, but very nice and speaks very little English.  She knew enough English to take my money!     The microwave and the fridge works.  I don't watch TV so didn't even turn it on.  I definitely can stay the week here.  Don't expect a hotel like near the interstate.  This little hotel is literally in very rural Kansas.  I think I was lucky to find it.
The big question and the answer.....IF I come back to Washington, KS, I will stay here again!

Just like previous review.  Old but OK.

The owners were all very nice but hard to understand as they didn't speak English that well.  Room was clean but old and could use new carpet, mattress, TV and better air conditioning.  Ask for a fan when you check in if it's hot.  This worked well along with what air you get.  With being an older motel it was very quiet so not too bad just old.
