Nice condo on floor 4.  Good view.  Bring your binoculars to look at Sanibel Island.  The Pink Shell can be loud.  Karaoke and contests with a person and a loudspeaker will shake your walls sometime.  Nice view off the front balcony of the backwaters.  Has wifi but not secure.  But who on earth has a check in time at 4pm and charges you full price for the day.

Stayed in unit 406 - avoid at all possible costs as the owner is terrible!

We had no water our first day there - couldn’t shower, use the toilet, wash our hands, drink water, etc. 

We fully accommodated the repair person’s schedule in order to facilitate the repair. At the conclusion of which we requested some compensation to reflect my family’s inconvenience and intrusion into our temporary home. Was told we get nothing!  Not expecting a full refund, but don’t think it’s out of line to get something.

In short, stay at this condo building, but don’t rent unit 406.

Great Location - Terrible Ownership (#406)

Beautiful condo, just the right size! Thoughtful touches that include beach blanket, beach chairs, and some beach toys! Also games and books for when you want to spend some time indoors. Super comfy beds, spacious living area, great decor. Full kitchen with all you need. Walking distance to downtown. Would totally recommend this condo to anyone wanting to visit Ft Myers Beach!! PS - you can even see dolphins from the screened in lanai!!

Great view and amenities! Unit 203

The condo unit 601 was beautiful and fully equipped.  Beds were comfy and washer and dryer in unit was a plus.  Beach toys, cooler, etc. nice for kids.  The rental company was horrible.  We were told check in at 4 which is super late.  Had to drive to the other end of the island to pick up parking passes which took alot of time.  No welcome packet in the room with tv guide, rules, etc. Would not rent through Vtrips again.

Beautiful Condo- Terrible Rental Company

We stayed in Beach Villas 203.  We loved the location and the unit.  Very clean and Well appointed with everything you could need.  Kitchen fully stocked, after our trip to the grocery, we were set for most breakfasts and lunches in the condo.  Decor is nicely updated, even beach chairs, towels, umbrella and a cooler were in the condo.  Nice pool but with that beach it really was just a added plus.  Also sitting on the lanai was Divine. Just a short walk to restaurants and nightlife.  Will definitely return.  We rented through vacation rental pros

Relaxing beach getaway 

We arrived at the Ft Myers Vacation Rental Pros office on 7/28 to pick up our parking pass so we could use the beach until we could check in. We were told there was no possible way we could check in early due to the busy season. Unknown to us at the time that Red Tide was a major issue we got to the beach and is was horrible; dead fish everywhere, brown water and no signs informing you of the dangers or what was going on. Common courtesy would have been for the rental company to advise us of what was going on. After emailing them at the end of the week; with no response to date, we ended up driving 2 days to Naples where it was better but still had issues just not as bad and then drove to Miami for the rest of the week and then drove back so we could catch our flight out of Ft Myers. Had we been told we would have made the decision to forfeit our money and never have came. We have been coughing ever since we have been there and still haven’t recovered since we have been home. I would highly suggest that you avoid the area. We have loved the gulf in the past but have decided after this year that we will not be traveling back to Florida in the future

#401 Nice unit, terrible rental company

I stayed in condo 502 which does not look available at the time of this review. That may be a good thing. The unit was a bit run down which is not unusual for any place in Ft Myers. HOWEVER, I still like the vibe in Ft Myers. It's laid back and easy and unpretentious. It can be a bit seedy but if you are looking for sunshine and mindless fun, it's a great place for that. 
As for the condo unit, it was not the greatest. The bed was on it's last legs, the mattress and box spring were past being comfortable. The master bathroom shower NEVER ran warm water no matter how long you ran the water. Maybe you will think like I did and think, "No big deal. Who wants hot water anyway?" Well, you do. The second bathroom had hot water but was not as nice looking of a shower area as the master. 
My BIGGEST complaint was with the management company. I got into Ft Myers late, like 11:30pm because of my flight. I was coming in alone and I am a woman so it's not cool when you go to the address they gave you to pick up your keys and the sign is down and another business is at the address(!!!) There was no email or notification of where they were and NO ONE was going to answer the door in that area of Ft Myers at 11:340 at night. I couldn't reach anyone! I was in a total panic! Just when I pulled out of the driveway to find a hotel (which was going to be a total SH*^ show at that hour) I noticed in the opposite direction of where I had travelled to the address they gave me, a sign for Beach Accomodations, Inc. I was able to find the lock box by total crap shoot and without help, thank god. When I called the next day to tell them what happened, they said blandly, "oh. Yeah. We moved recently." I had NO NOTIFICATION. And the only consolation/compensation they would give me is 10% my next trip through them. Hah. Needless to say, that ain't happening.
Bottom line: Enjoy Ft Myers but avoid Beach Accommodations, Inc.

Good but not great

This condo's location is great.  It's in the quiet end of the island but in walking distance to Time Square and out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of the island and road construction.  Once you get there you really don't need a car.  You can walk to most things or take the trolley.  We stayed in 702 which was nice, and only had a couple very minor issues which I have already made the rental agency aware of.   The pool area is very small.  The grilling area has two gas grills which is nice.  This condo is located right next to the Pink Shell.  Pink Shell does own some of the condos in this building if you want to rent through them and use their facilities.  702 is not one of them.  If you don't rent through them you can still take advantage of their two restaurants and their spa.  The price is considerably more if you rent through Pink Shell. 

Great location

The condo was nicely decorated and clean. Easy walk to Times Square for food, shopping and entertainment. Gorgeous beach on the quiet (except for live music on weekends at the Pink Shell Resort next door) end of Estero Island. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. No complaints other than the property management company requiring pick-up of the parking permit at their office, which required another 2 hours (TONS of traffic) in the car - only to find 2 parking permits on the counter in the condo when we finally got there. Luckily, the rest of our stay was more than enjoyable enough to make up for the bad start. We plan to go back next year - and to check the condo for the permit first!
