Over the past 3 years I have stayed at the Glendower on a number of occasions and always been provided with a warm welcome, a nice room, a good nights sleep and a tasty breakfast. many thanks to Janette and Ian. I will return again when in Torquay.

Lovely Stay in Comfortable Surroundings

Lovely B&B. Ian and Jeanette were really helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. 
Bedrooms good size, and everything was clean and today. 
Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. 
Would recommend and definitely consider staying again next time we visit Torquay.

Lovely B&B with lovely hosts

Lovely welcome from Janette and Ian.  Hot drink and a slice of cake to welcome us was a nice touch.  We took my 83 year old mum with us as she and my late dad met in Torquay.
We were upgraded on the rooms.  Mum to a double from a single.  Both rooms lovely.  Good bed linen. Tea tray good with lovely biscuits - replenished both days.  Toiletries etc in bathroom.  We had a recently refurbished room with map on wall and two huge light fans which would be amazing in the summer! Personal preference- I would prefer carpeted floor.
Breakfast delicious both mornings. Fresh fruit juice, fruit, cereal, yoghurt. Toast and hot drinks. Good choice if hot food inc daily specials.  Free parking and nice walk into town.
Would highly recommend. Oh and dog friendly.

Janette and Ian welcomed us perfectly with drinks offered and a smile. 
They were perfect hosts!
The room was spotless and beautiful, the breakfast was quick and tasted incredible!

Lovely stay

It was only a three-night-stay but I'm very glad I chose the Glendower. It's conveniently situated, not far from the seafront and the railway station. My room was comfortable and a good size for a single, and the heating worked well. The breakfast area is spacious and tastefully done out. There was a good variety of things to eat for breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruit. Janette and Ian were very helpful and Ian not only gave me breakfast at a very early hour on the day of my departure but also gave me a lift to the station!

A very pleasant stay

Very enjoyable three night B & B stay as tourists.  Good parking available on site.  Our twin bedded room had full en-suite shower facilities.  Everything spotless and clean.  Our beds were both very comfortable and we slept soundly.  Key provided that locked/unlocked both our bedroom door and also the nearby door leading to our parked car - useful when you are elderly.   Very good breakfast downstairs (about a dozen steps but Stannah-type chair for those who need assistance).  Loads of useful information provided at the booking stage.   Very comprehensive tasty breakfasts -  continental plus full English plus a ‘special’ option each morning.   My wife and I were made very welcome.  Keep up the good work - well done!


Look no further for an excellent B & B in Torquay!

The room was lovely loads of room bed and pillows was most comfortable the host where great offend a cup of tea as soon we got there it's only 10 min walk to the beach bars and restaurants am be back

I stayed at the Glendower B&B for a weekend to take part in the English Riviera Walking Festival in September 2023. Janette and Ian were very friendly and welcoming hosts. The Glendower B&B is in a quiet location but within walking distance to the train station, and to the sea front. Though I reached the Glendower early, I was welcomed to my nice, spacious, comfortable, neat and clean en-suite room. During my stay I was provided with a jug of fresh milk and cold water in the room along with cookies and candies. There was a great selection of herbal teas and I enjoyed the chamomile tea after my walks. I had my delicious cooked breakfast with fresh fruits and toast in their breakfast hall. That helped me store much needed energy for my 10K coastal walks. Ian and Jannete accommodated my request to keep the luggage safe for a few hours after I checked out. This allowed me to enjoy another walk to a near by town. I greatly appreciate all these simple but great gestures of service and highly recommend the Glendower B&B. 

Home away from home

We had a fantastic stay at the Glendower. Jeanette and Ian were welcoming hosts and we felt really taken care of. The family room was perfect and everything had been thought of, even fresh water and fresh milk, which was a real plus. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice and freshly cooked to order, plus cereals, fruit, juices etc, etc, etc. Altogether a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely book again. Thank you.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay in Torquay.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Glendower B&B and what a gem it is.
Ian and Janette were great hosts, we were greeted upon arrival with a Pot of Tea and Cake, and although we were early we were shown straight to our room. 
The room was huge, plenty space, very comfy huge bed. Tea and Coffee etc in room, Cold Thermos Jug of fresh water daily along with plentiful milk, each night upon our arrival after long days out we were greeted with little treats, jars of sweets, biscuits and chocolate marshmallows.  
There were fresh clean towels, Hand Gels, Hand lotions, Bodywash and body lotions provided in the bathroom and a Hair Dryer too.
The B&B is spotless, no noise from any of the rooms or in the corridors.
Breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful, cereals mixed fruit etc plus full breakfasts and daily specials, we were even met each morning with our genre of music playing in the background. 
There is parking out the front and if there's no room then there is free on road parking across the road.
It is a bit of a walk into town and the harbor but i'm no spring chicken and prefer to stroll along steadily.
We would definitely recommend this B&B and would definitely return.
