Overnight stay while visiting Sheffield. Large comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, very comfortable furniture. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding breakfast. Great views in rural setting, very quiet but only a few miles out of Sheffield. We will use it again.

Excellent 

Stayed one night last weekend - lovely place.  The owner Helen greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome.  The room was comfortable, with many treats and nice personal touches to make us feel specially welcome.  Breakfast was excellent too.    The location is gorgeous - lovely countryside and loads of walks in the area, yet a stone's throw from the city of Sheffield.  We would definitely like to return.

Helen and Michael are wonderful hosts and makes all the guests very welcome. 
I think we have stayed in all the rooms over the years we have been going and all are very good. We do prefer the superior rooms as the sofa is a great bonus.

Perfect place to stay, beautiful setting, everything you could wish for, warm welcome, extremely comfortable. Will look forward to going back in 2020 and cannot recommend it highly enough. Remember that the post code in the sat nav is actually about half a mile from the property.

Could not be better

Barnfield House is wonderful and set in a quiet location in the countyside.  The owners are wonderful people and make you feel welcome as soon as you come through the door.  
It is awesomely comfortable and extremely clean.  
The choice for breakfast is first class and a choice of cooked breakfast awesome.  Will definitely recommend to people and will go back

Fantastic first stay at Barnfield House - Awesome and not to be missed and good value for money

This is our third visit to Barnfield Hotel, staying in the Maid Marian room. As always the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great with lots of choice for everyone including those with special diets.
Owners are a really nice couple, make your stay as pleasant as possible.  We will be staying again, it’s our go to hotel when we visit Sheffield, set in beautiful countryside only minutes from the centre of Sheffield.

Fantastic place to stay, room fabulous, breakfast brilliant, views to die for,hosts are very accommodating and lovely people. 
Local amenities for evening meals all in a comprehensive guide. Evening meals excellent value and plentiful.

Stay at Barnfield House.Sheffield.

We stayed at this B&B which is close to Sheffield, with stunning views over the countryside. The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the morning was table service with a great range of good quality options to choose from. A great place to stay if in the area and would come highly recommended. 

Great B&B near to Sheffield

We stayed on Saturday night for the That That concert at the arena. As previously commented by another reviewer the Arena is in the other side of Sheffield but the B&B more than made up for it. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome from Michael and again the following morning at Breakfast. Views for the bedroom over the valley was magnificent and attention to detail is outstanding. The choice of breakfast caters for every need. You do not leave hungry. We would love to return to this idyllic B&B to explore more of the local area & to fully appreciate the beauty of the local area.

Visit to see Take That

I had the Will Scarlet room (all Robin Hood themed). Very very surprising standard. View over valley was lovely especially as sun going down shone into room. bath robe and slippers> In a B&B? Wow. Really, accomodation was hotel standard-clean, comfortable well appointed. Welcome by Helen was friendly .
Breakfast was  promptly dished up by Michael and was of a high standard. Great choice. Evening meal was a walk to the pub. Good 10 minute walk needed after a days work to clear the head.Need to find an excuse to come this way again!
