I stayed here for one night at attend a job interview the following morning in the city. I paid £50 for the room and breakfast. It was really good value for money, with good service on arrival, comfortable room with everything I needed, and a good breakfast in the morning. 

For the price I couldn’t find fault, it was perfect for what I needed, a base for the day 

Perfect Location and Price

I stayed there 3 nights and did not find one issue with it. Good service, a family run business, very polite and has a lovely breakfast. Value for money. Parking was easily available. The traditional English style look works well. Will definitely be staying here again.

A family run hotel

We booked to stay here for one night as we were attending an event at the B.E.C and the location was convenient and also at a reasonable price. The Hotel looks pleasant from the outside but once you step inside it  you can see it is serious need of some updating with tired carpets and furnishings. 

Our room was very small and so hot we had to open windows. The small En-suite appeared clean and modern but shower pressure was poor. The sink is outside the en-suite and I noticed toothpaste spray on the curtains next to it. The double bed was a little on the small side and the mattress was hard so it wasn’t a great nights sleep. 

Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on that. It was a convenient location for us at the time but probably wouldn’t stay here again. It’s a shame as this could be a very nice hotel if it was redecorated. 

Ok for a one night stay but hotel is in serious need of sprucing up. 

I have to say, that they were willing to stay open longer, as our arrival was after their reception opening hours. Place was warm however neglected. Room was renovated, and appeared clean, however, I would not return, hence there were hair in the shower, mould and dust combined with dirt in the corner of the room.  Full English aimed to be halal, however with fish after taste. This hotel can be charming little gem, hence it is neglected, I would not return.

Best Marigold hotel 20 years after ZENITH

I recently stayed at this hotel as my partner was having spinal surgery in the hospital across the road at Salford royal. Great I thought as it was so close. 
I booked online then went over. The carpets were threadbare. It smelled of dog. I went up the creaky stairs and opened the door to a small smelly room. The bed shook when I sat on it actually falling to bits. There were cobwebs on the ceiling. 
I asked for an extra blanket as it was zero degrees outside and the heating was off. I got an old stinking blanket with a cigarette burn in it. On a good note the sheets were clean. The en suite was new so that got one star in my review. The other star was for location. 
The breakfast staff lady was very friendly. The pork equivalent breakfast was odd but edible. 
All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place. I wouldn’t stay here again. I actually only stayed one night as it was so horrible. I also came up in a rash all over my back after sleeping here. 


Not good 

Ideal location for what we wanted. The double room was spotlessly clean as were towels and bed linen. The room had an en-suite with shower, again spotlessly clean. Selection of toiletries provided in the bathroom. The room has tea/ coffee making facilities and a TV. Plenty of sockets for charging phone/ using hairdryer etc. 
Breakfast was included. I had toast and my husband had poached eggs on toast. Service was quick. Only comment I’d make is that it would have been nice to have a filter coffee available at breakfast. 
Host was welcoming and friendly. Hotel has on site off road parking which is a bonus. 

Overnight stay 

Visited The Beaucliffe hotel again for a short business trip.  Everyone in the hotel was so friendly, remembered me from my last visit and made me vey welcome.  This time I booked a double room, only because I did not like a single bed, and it was lovely.  Very clean with everything that I needed. Thank you

Another visit to Salford

The price was very good and the room and beds were clean and comfy enough. I guess ultimately that’s all you need for a one night stay to go to Old Trafford. If you are someone who needs more than basic provisions then this isn’t for you. Including breakfast is a good deal I have to say though that the breakfast was ok but could’ve been better. I would actually go back though because the price was so good and it suited my purpose.


Ok but very basic 

The Beaucliffe hotel is not something to rave about to much, but plain and simply, it is clean, the staff are friendly and breakfast is good. The building is old and quirky and the initial room I was offered had not got a toilet seat, but I have to say I was given another room immediately and apologies were given.

Two day business trip

Stayed for two nights in a double room. Room was very small with about 2ft of room either side of the bed, and separate toilet and shower. Wall mounted tv that was the same size as a computer screen.
Clean, basic, but with very dated pine furniture and need of serious redecoration.
