We got scammed by this place.  There was no one there when we arrived. Thankfully a stranger picked us up and found us a place to stay.  These jerks took our money for 2 nights and we haven’t heard a thing back from them. We used Priceline so I hope there’s some hope of a refund. Makes me sick.

Complete scam do not book

Paid online for twin room, one night stay, and asked to book in after 4pm ( 26th / 27thSept 2023 ) When we arrived at 4.15pm, pub was closed , no staff. Note on door said ring bell. Rang bell 3 times. Nothing. Phone number on a bit of paper stuck on the door, said ring if no answer from bell. Call went straight to answerphone. Didnt ring at all. We left a message. No call back. Rang again, nothing. No call back. Rang again, same again. We sat in the tiny carpark for for over an hour with our baggage on one of the tables. We eventually gave up.
We have since heard that this has happened to others in the last few weeks.
Apparently the landlord has shut up shop, and is avoiding people, but still happy take anyone's money. THE PUB HAS SHUT DOWN. DO NOT BOOK.

The Lamb has closed down

Property is very basic and Wi-Fi had not been working for over a week. I was due to stay 3 nights but left after 1 as my daughter couldn’t so her college work without the Wi-Fi. Manage confirmed to Booking.Com that the 2 nights could be refunded. 3 weeks later still no refund and owner now saying I was asked to leave as I was inebriated, which is a total lie. Booking.Com not helpful in this situation.
Not worth £90 per night, Premier Inn that we moved to much better and a similar price.

Don’t stay here 

Excellent for the price range. A lot better than we had the right to expect for that price. Dinner was good too, so was breakfast, and the service was first class, extremely friendly and helpful. There was a decent parking space too.

Hosts very helpful and friendly. Room maybe a bit dated but the double room was spacious, bed comfortable and shower good. The full English breakfast is all freshly cooked and plentiful. The pub and restaurant are open from Tuesday to Sunday but the hosts will do a meal on Monday evening for guests. We ate twice in the evening and the food was well cooked and prepared. I had steak which was cooked exactly how I ordered it and my wife had home made mushroom stroganoff which was very good. On the other evening my wife had fish and chips with home made tartare sauce. I had home made Chili con carne. Both meals were very good. The hotel is handy for the town which has plenty of choice of cafes and restaurants.

Nice mid week break

Very surprised on arrival to find the pub shut, no-one immediately visible to greet us & the outside did not appear inviting. Indeed the fact that the pub wasn’t opening at all that evening came as a complete surprise. The room itself was adequate.

Disappointing

Excellent dining room in a traditional pub close to the town centre. Great hosts, very friendly and accommodating.  Food was great and altogether we had a lovely evening. 
We hope they do well.
We'll be back. (We're just up the road anyway)

Early Night Meal

Tried the new restaurant last Saturday evening It was fantastic, so different from the old pub, totally transformed into a beautiful 'Dining Room' Lots of atmosphere, great choice (as well as steaks) a talented chef, and caring service. As well as his prices are really good. We will certainly be returning.

visited ringwood for our uncles 90th,our stay here made it all the better,as the lady who runs this place made it all the better.the rooms were neat and tidy and clean,and the breakfast each morning was brilliant.
if you want a place to stay around here i thouroughly recommend here

brilliant stay

This old and quirky pub is a delight, it's not your typical plastic fantastic chain, it's indie and different.

Rooms basic but nice and clean and tidy with everything you need for an overnight stay. Breakfast in the morning was wholesome, tasty and set us up for the day. A big thank you to the lovely Amy for looking after us.
