Stayed here for one night with work in room 3. Could hear everything other guests were doing and saying in the lounge from my room.. if you’re a light sleeper please avoid!
Room smelt stale…
Money was deducted £50 from a company credit card without firstly emailing the company with the issue. Apparently I had put a bio degradable wet wipe down the loo? I DIDNT! They sent a photograph to the Helpdesk of my company (which enables the whole company to view)…they probably planted it there themselves to have some kind of money making scheme. Then on speaking to my colleague they lied and said they’d spoken to me and Clive said I’d admitted my mistake!! I DONT think so! Watch yourselves with these people, customer service and integrity simply don’t exist! Avoid at all cost! Stay in a Travelodge if you’ve got any sense.. or alternative accommodation!

This Company LIE about their Guests!

The location of the B&B is rural, about 10-15 minutes from Oxford, so a car is needed.  The rooms are built into two old farming buildings, giving a historic feel to the stay.  We stayed in the stand-alone ground floor chalet which was a good size, well-equipped, quiet and comfortable.  Some of the rooms in the main building had stair access.  Donna, our host, was very friendly and helpful and did a load of laundry for us.  The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh berries with cereal and plenty of cooked options.  The Bear & Ragged Staff pub restaurant is a short drive away with very good food.

Comfortable Rural B&B Near Oxford

I was walking (solo) along a section of the Thames Path and Sabine Barn was the ideal place to stay - only a mile from the route and very close to Farmoor Reservoir. I had booked their chalet and when I arrived, I phoned Donna and she told me where to find the key. The chalet was great - comfy bed, sofa, small dining table, fridge, microwave, flat screen TV and very peaceful. If you don't have transport, there is a bus stop about 400 yds away from where the E1 bus runs between Eynsham and Oxford every half hour (hourly after 8pm). Breakfast was great - fresh fruit, cereal, full English, toast - and set me up well for my second day walking. Clive & Donna very helpful and genial hosts. Recommended

Excellent stay

This place is a definite return visit. Donna and Clive amazing hosts . Everything perfect in every respect. Rooms are spotless in fact the entire barn is ! I could not find fault with this stay, breakfast was amazing. Both Donna and Clive could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Perfection !!!

Amazing beautiful barn

What a fantastic B&B! Such a hidden gem! We came to the property for a girly weekend (we booked out the whole property) - and oh my goodness, all of our jaws hit the floor when we walked in. This place is stunning!! Absolutely blown away by the beautiful property, and Donna's hospitality. Felt like royalty for a weekend. Nothing I can say will do this place justice. We are all looking forward to coming back to this property with our partners/husbands very soon. Thank you again Donna! x

Amazing stay!

Lovely relaxed place

Gorgeous barn and lovely hosts. Excellent stay for one night. Went to The Queens Head for pizza, puddings and prosecco night on a Monday which was a great find.
Lovely big bath and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent too.

We have just arrived back from an overnight visit to Sabine Barn & cannot rate this gorgeous place high enough. Everything was fab from the beautiful decor, comfy bed, spotlessly clean room, delicious breakfast & very helpful host Donna. We got the bus into Oxford which was very easy & have had an absolutely lovely couple of days from start to finish. Value for money was incredible & we will not hesitate to return. Thank you 😊

Wonderful accommodation

This was our first visit to Oxford and The Sabine Barn is a beautifully converted building on the outskirts. 

Arriving at the property, keep an eye out for a small sign that says' Sabine'. You head up the narrow entrance up the side of the barn and take a first left. There is parking for 3 vehicles.  The key to the room was left for us and heading up the stairs to room 1 we were both delighted 

with our room. The bathroom is not ensuite as such but across from the room but no one else should be coming up those stairs. Bathroom nicely fitted and great shower. Depending upon how ' out there' you like to be, worth sticking something up at the window as no blind. 

Downstairs, there is a lovely little sitting area where you also have breakfast if you choose to have it. We sat outside a couple of nights and it was delightful. Lovely 

big garden. It would have been nice to have had more chairs, possibly even a comfy padded swing but I guess covid may have impacted on that. There was only one other couple when we were there and as the owners live off-site, you pretty much have the place to yourself which 
is great for a b and b. 

One thing about sleeping in effectively the attic. The heat. We stayed shortly after the hottest day this year and the room at night was stifling. Everyone is different 
and this may not be an issue for a lot of people. Bit like mattresses ( which was great by the way but maybe too soft for others) . There was a fan. This was on a 2hr timer. It didn't cool the room but we really needed having the air blowing over us. It did mean one of us had to get up 
every two hours though. You might want to think about bringing your own fan.

Breakfast was optional. We went for it and absolutely worth doing. Scrumptious breakfast and a pretty 
reasonable choice. 

Whilst in the area we visited Blenheim....an absolute must. Gorgeous place to go to. And Oxford for a tour. The S1 bus is a 5 minutes walk up the road. It is dodgy walking 
along the road as no paths so take care. There is a rough track straight across the road from Sabine. Slightly higher grass to get onto it but it takes you up to where the path starts. The bus stop is on the left up by the roundabout. There is a good little shop in the village. 
Watch, it closes at 5 most days. Bus took about 30 mins into Oxford because of traffic but definitely best way to get in. There is a lovely pub about 5 minutes drive away called the Bear and Ragged staff. Really nice food. Recommend the steak and ale pie. You cannot walk there 
however. No safe route. There is a good pizza place close to hand as well. You have to collect but really tasty. There was a flyer in the Sabine. 

Finally, Donna the hostess was brill. Really helpful and 
lovely to chat to. 

This place is absolutely worth staying at.

Lovely Stay

My partner and I stayed here over a long weekend.

The room was clean, well presented, and the barn itself is beautiful. As for service, Donna was fantastic - extremely  friendly, genuine and attentive. The breakfast was also delicious and was catered to my dietary requirements (vegetarian/nut allergy). 

Overall, a brilliant experience and we cannot wait to return! A huge thank you to Donna for making our weekend get away one to remember.
