We visited Carol and Alan to do the introduction to sourdough course, the two of us were complete novices but were immediately made to feel at ease. Alan is very knowledgeable in the subject and is able to pass this on in a clear, concise way whilst remaining patient. 
Carol was a fantastic host and couldn’t do enough for us on our overnight stay. The home baked goods and treats were such a lovely touch. 
Thank you for such a fabulous weekend, we will be recommending you to our family and friends. 

Introduction to sourdough and overnight stay 

We had a wonderful stay at Stepping Stones. The room was lovely and comfortable room with a huge bed, a smart TV, fridge and delicious home made cake left for us on a daily basis. Breakfast was a cut above with local products used where possible and home made breads and pastries served daily. The hosts were extremely welcoming, concerned that we had what we wanted making sure we had every comfort. Carol was also really helpful advising us on places to eat and visit. We truly enjoyed ourselves. 

Wonderful stay. Little gem. 

One of the best breaks I’ve ever had. It was clean comfy and overall an amazing stay. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts was very welcoming. They tended to our every need without complaint. Would deffinetly recommend 

Amazing stay

We were treaed to Rolls Royce treatment.  The room was very spacious with every thing one could possibly require as was the bathroom (en suite).  The breakfast was wonderfull and served on hot plates.  The owners were very hospitable and helpful

A great place to stay

So pleased to have found this gem! Alan & Carole were exceptional hosts and made us feel very welcome. Parking, no problem. Quiet location. Our room and ensuite were clean, comfortable and well equipped with TV, teas, coffee, spare toiletries and local information. Felt if we needed anything , just had to ask. Enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep in an extremely comfy bed. 
Next morning, treated to an excellent breakfast followed by a sourdough bread making tutorial given by master baker Alan who really inspired us to have a go when we got home. Really sad to leave! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

What a find!

Was not disappointed following a return visit to this fabulous B&B.  We had a wonderful stay and Carol and Alan are such great hosts and made us feel so welcome.  They recommended some lovely places to visit and places to eat.  Spotlessly clean and the breakfast was second to none.  We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B if you are visiting the New Forrest.

Highly Recommend this Fabulous B&B

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful area just outside the New Forest, comfortable and clean with lots to see close by. Hosts very hospitable and the breakfasts, including home made bread, were delicious especially the eggs Benedict with smoked trout. The hosts also recommended some lovely places to visit and some very good restaurants to dine out. Would definitely recommend a stay here as a base to explore the area and we were made to feel very welcome

Lovely place to stay in beautiful surroundings

Stepping stones is absolutely a great place to stay, much better than a hotel very homely, Carol & Alan go out of thier way to make you feel very welcome and cannot do enough for you. They  have good knowledge of the local area and can advise on all the best things to see and do. Thier B&B is extremely clean and thier rooms are beautiful. Cannot recommend them enough once visited you will certainly go back! 👍👏

Great place to stay, close to everything the New Forrest has to offer. Carol and Alan are very knowledgeable about the local area, places to visit, places to eat and how to make the most of your stay. 
A real home from home, nothing is too much trouble. The room is spotless, a great size with seating area and the biggest most comfortable bed! Lovely extra touches. 
The breakfast is amazing, everything fresh, lots of homemade produce and great choices. There was absolutely no problem in catering for an special food requirements. 
The property is tucked away in a quiet Lane but still close to amenities. Highly recommended for a short break or longer holiday.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Stepping Stones B&B this past December. Our room was immaculate and our hosts lovely. The breakfast was one of the best we had anywhere on our trip. We won't hesitate to stay again in future. Thanks!
