I booked this property via booking.com, a mistake I will never make again. I noticed a number of negative reviews of this property a few weeks before I was to leave for London. The reviews, all on tripadvisor, included comments on cleanliness and things not working. This like hot water and the toilet. I contacted City Marque to ask their opinion of the reviews and if the issues identified had been fixed. I received a generic email saying they inspect all properties, but they didn't say if the issues were addressed. 

Based on this I emailed them that I wanted to cancel the booking. They confirmed receipt, but did not cancel the booking. They then proceeded to charge my credit card for the entire amount of the apartment. When I protested, they simply said I should have canceled earlier and that their policy stated no refunds. They failed to comment on the condition of the property or the concerns I raised about the property. After numerous emails, I received one that said, they would bring up my request with management. A week after that email, I emailed for a status report on my request. I have not received a response to this. I contacted booking.com and they simply said, deal with the property owner. Fair to say I will never use booking.com nor City Marque again. City Marque were quick to respond when looking to take my money, but have been slow on anything that resembles customer service. They failed to comment on if the issues in the apartment had been fixed, and seem to feel that providing me with a refund is not required. Any booking company worth anything, would be reasonable enough to understand that a customer had concerns and that they had 3 basic options. One was to confirm the issues had been fixed. The second would be to offer a different property and the third would be to issue a refund.

My advice is to look at other booking options. thesqua.re provided us with great customer service while in London, London Connection provided great service on a past trip, and Home Away has proven valuable. There are many other options. Do not trust City Marque with your credit card, nor their generic claims of the quality of the apartments they are renting. I am now out approximately $3000CDN.

Location is very good.
Dirty, leaving tufts of hair, dirty walls ..... disgusting. Problems with water, only boiling or cold...
No internet. 
This is a good location, but it need a very good cleaning and replacement of broken things!

Location!

Pretty bad overall. Uncleaned, dirty, second rate furnishings & various broken things. The worst of it is that there is no one to complain to! The company does not respond to emails & if you call them there is an automated message saying they are updating their phone lines. Various unhappy groups here that we have bumped into, including a blazing row with a representative. God only knows how they managed to get them here. If I was paying half the price, I might let it go - but when you pay the amount that the company charge, then you expect a high specification and good customer service.

Forget about it & go Airbnb instead

You can't sit on the couch, you're too dirty, you're too late to make a reservation, you have a fake key code, you can't have the people in charge on the phone for four days, you're not a good company.

Three dirty ones

Location is great but the sofas in at least two of the three apartments we hired, had major stains on them.  In addition, one of my colleagues thought someone was sleeping in the stairwell.
Finally, in the Penthouse apartment, there were condom wrappers outside on the balcony.

Location great, furniture stained

Arrived a littler later than the check in time,self check in system completely poor.Finally got in after more than an hour delay and the apartment has not been cleaned recently And then the biggest shocker,there is no water.

Holiday 

This is the second time we've been to this Apartment Hotel. The last time was in 2014. The apartments were impeccable. Flamboyantly new! Two years later we realize how very moderately maintained the apartments were. The walls are damaged, the paint is removed, the odors in the bathroom or the toilet are unpleasant. Unfortunately for us, there was no iron to grind in our apartment, yet the meal is in the description. Despite our claim by phone and the explanation of the importance of iron to grind for the evening we were invited, we were informed that nothing was possible the same and that they would be back in the morning, so that we could finish the next day.

Very well located but the interior of the apartment is degraded

Nice apartment, close to the Goodge St. subway supermarket back open until midnight (Tesco metro). Great for families with children and boys but also for young couples and friends at all sums up discreet prices given the costs of the English capital. To consider for the next trip to London, always fascinating city.

It's convenient.

For our weekend in London we stayed in this fantastic building! The location is excellent a few steps from the Goodge Street subway station and the famous red double-decker buses that allow you to travel long and wide through the city.Also on foot you can still reach many beautiful attractions.The apartment is spacious, bright! (my was on the fifth floor with elevator) well furnished in modern style and without carpet but with a beautiful parquet, each room is equipped with electric thermophones; convenient, ample island windows that allow an acoustically sealed room to live quietly.

Very briefly, unfortunately, I'm going to London.

The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, orderly, and above all it is in an excellent position to visit London, 2 steps from the metro station. Among the things that go wrong, I have to point out that on arrival there was no tap water, fault resolved in a few hours but it is certainly traumatic for a traveler to get home and not find water to wash, it would have been nice to warn us about this.
