Basic good accommodation 

Checked in July 03 for 3 nights.  Very basic lodgings. Very quiet and clean. We checked out before the heat wave arrived later in the week,  as the rooms have no A/C and the windows do not open fully. Decent breakfast, staff at the dining hall very helpful and polite. Staff at the front desk could answer any questions regarding transportation options. WiFi was not working on July 03 at check in, restored the next day.  Easy walking to the Underground system and many nearby sights and dining options. This is a good location for a short stay .

Good Location

This is a low-cost option close to the University of London. I had planned to reserve an en suite single, but discovered the only thing en suite was a sink. Toilet was a few steps away, but locked, apparently by construction contractors, for last two-plus days of my stay. Remaining toilets tan out of paper twice during stay. No a/c and windows have only small opening. Good, hearty breakfast, but serving hours limited. It appears they are doing summertime fix-up, and dorm filled with many noisy teenagers during that time. Room fronted on park, but late/night street and hall noise. I’m 70 and next time I’ll probably spend a bit more for a better option.

Setting Expectations

A UCL student has tested positive for COVID-19 and many UCL students stay in these halls. You should not stay here unless you want to risk getting COVID-19. Students eat at a shared canteen which increases the risk of transmission.

COVID-19

Cutlery in the dining room is not clean, there’s always some white mark (I guess that is washing liquid stain) on knifes and tea stains on the glass cups. I even had a glass cup with a lipstick stain on it! The manager was not responsible enough — yes I did talk to her about the hygiene issue, but the issue continues after the dishwasher had been “maintained”……
I’m a long-stay guest in this university hall. Everything else was ok other than cutlery issue.

Cutlery in dining room is not clean

約1週間の滞在。チェックインまで荷物を預かってもらいました。最初案内された部屋が1階の受付の隣りで壁と人しか見えなくて閉塞感が強かったので他の部屋に変更してもらいました。(1日4ポンドの追加)ガーデンパークが見えて良い感じ！絵が飾ってあるしお洒落な部屋です！スタッフは最初空いている部屋はないと言っていたのですが粘ったら分かる人が出てきて変えてもらえた感じです。横柄に見えたけれど何回か話しているとフレンドリーに接してくれました。ドライヤーは受付で無料で借りられました。部屋は大きいデスク、沢山の棚、クローゼットがあって使いやすいです。ベッドもセミダブルかな？良い感じです。アメニティは、ふかふかスリッパ、シャンプー、ボディーソープ、大きいタオル2枚。共同のシャワールームは狭すぎ。シャワーは固定されててホースが伸びなくて使いにくい。たまに恐ろしく臭いので辛い。着替える場所がない。トイレは綺麗でした。
朝食はすごく美味しいし毎日ちょこっとずつメニューが入れ替わります。私の口にはとても合いました！ベイクドビーンズとかチョコクロワッサンとか最高！チョコクロワッサンは中にもチョコたっぷりでした。pakora って言うベジタリアンメニューも美味しかった！クリスマスシーズンなのでスタッフはサンタの帽子を付けていました。
ランドリールームには洗濯機、乾燥機、アイロンがあるのでいつでも洗濯機できます。クレジットカード決済なので便利です。ただ洗剤は自分で買う必要があります。中庭やビリヤード台、ピアノ、リラックスラウンジなど色々揃っています。周辺はスーパー、飲食店など生活に不便はないし地下鉄やバスもすぐ近くでコベントガーデンとか歩こうと思えば歩ける距離で便利です。I want to say thank you very much to Mr.Bandu (hall manager)and Ms.Mandy (finance) !

朝食が美味しい！部屋が綺麗で機能的！シャワールームだけが…

We booked this dump while on tour visiting relatives in Bath, Bournemouth and London. I used reviews and Postcodes to choose a variety of hotels tp use during our stays in each location. All but his establishment proved to be excellent. 
As we entered the hotel my wife noticed an odour. We put this aside and checked in, Making our way to our room on the first floor we passed a very large, colour-draining stain on the hall carpet. It looked like a vomit or bowel emptying issue. Our room was yards from here. 
Inside we found a drop down camp-style bed, huge bin beside the bed and a flashback to first year at uni.
In the shower room the base of the shower cubicle was unsecured and black mould in the corner of the shower. 
We spent the half hour in this cell making arrangements to catch an earlier train back up North and cut our visit to London short.
We made our way back to reception and asked for a taxi to be called for us. We were gobsmacked to be told this basic hotel service was not available!
We were just glad to be out of this establishment.

I emailed this 'hotel' regarding this visit and they didn't even bother to make any kind of response. Cutting short our visit cost us £400 more in train fares yet noone has given any response or excuse why the carpets were so horrendous or why our shower was so far below hygiene standards or what the mysterious odour throughout the building was.

Booking.com also failed to respond to my feedback on this hotel so I won't be using their facility again either!

Location seemed perfect!

This student residence is a very good alternative to a hotel. You don't have to be a student to get a room here as a tourist. These were absolutely big enough and everything was clean. The beds are a little bit accustomed. Also, it was very quiet in the rooms, at night you could even leave the window open if you have a room to the courtyard. Breakfast is included and you have a good choice. Unfortunately, there is no TV. In the cafeteria you can also eat well and cheaply at night. You can save a lot of money! There are also coin washers and dryers. There is also a piano, billiards, table football and a lot more. This is very friendly and helpful.

A very good alternative to a hotel

I stayed for a week with my family. The most attractive point of International Hall is location! Just 2 -3 mins to Russell square and you can travel around and walkable distance to St Pancreas station.

The room is my major concern to deduce one. Star. It is hot in your room, as well as at night. There is no air conditioning and you must switch on the fan provided. The refrigerator is not very cool so don't expect to store ice cream. And, the hot water shower system got some error. I must turn off the hot water tap and turn on the cold water tap in maximum......if you do not follow the steps, you will have burn by hot water.

For the bed, it is acceptable but you will hear noise of coil from the mattress when you turn around. 

A good budget accommodation

Great location within 2 minute walk of Russell square station and close to many eating places and supermarket. The breakfast was included and an amazing range of choices from cooked options to fresh fruit and yoghurt along with pastries, porridge and cereals.  The room was quiet and reasonable in size for the double room we had booked with private bathroom. The bed however was just a fold out bed but was okay. The room was also extremely hot with the desk fan needing to be left on during the night as the window would only open a small amount. There was a fridge which was handy but had microwave and two hot plates but absolutely nothing in cupboards to cook with and no kettle to make a cup of tea.  We overall enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
