Isle of Skye

The Anmara Cottage was an amazing spot for our 3 night stay on Skye. It was spotlessly clean and really had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. My sister and I loved the quiet rural location right at the base of the Quiraing and it was an easy drive to Portree. The views over the ocean and open fields from the cottage were breathtaking. The central location on the Trotternish Peninsula meant that nearly all of the sites we came to see were nearby which made sightseeing easy. The owner, Mairi, was so nice and had breakfast items there for us and she gave us great tips for the area. The property is private and quiet and even had a cute friendly lamb, in the fenced area directly in front of the cottage. Gorgeous views and we even got to see Northern Lights thanks to Mairi texting us to take a look outside, even though she had left for Glasgow earlier in the day. Staying at the Anmara Cottage helped make Skye the highlight of our trip to Scotland!

Absolute Gem on Skye

We stayed two nights in one of two cottages. The cottage was nice, comfortable and very clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They pointed out the places of interest.Would go back for sure in the future!

Nice stay in a very nice cottage

But worth to drive to. Nice and friendly owner, who makes you feeling home.
Good place to explore the island. Many places to see and so time flies. Everything you need for breakfast will be provided, so come and start your holidays

Far in the north, 

Gairloch View B&B is a perfect place to be: Spacy room (we were 3 adults in a room for 4) with its own shower. Excellent breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. Many sightseeing spots easily accessible. But above all great hospitality and devoted hosts who can give you lots of hints what to visit. Clearly a place to come back!

A great place to stay

Excellent accommodation, large clean room, lavish breakfast, quiet location with sea view and especially: the most friendly host you can only wish for. No matter what questions we were helped at all times and in addition there were always great tips for exploring the surroundings. We are happy to come back!!

That's great!

My partner and I had a lovely stay in kenmore, the cottage was a home away from home although​ self catering it had everything needed for a comfortable stay, Karen was brilliant and attentive made sure we were comfortable. We were lucky with the weather only rained one day. We used it as a base to look at the amazing sights, kilt rock, staffin bay, old man of storr, fairy pooles all were accessible and then would go home to a lovely warm cottage with lovely sea views. On our last night we saw the northern lights from just outside our cottage which just ended our stay perfectly.

Beautiful cottage

The accommodation is perfect, with a broad view of the sea. The mountain Quiraing is nearby. There are many more locations to visit from here, like the Old Man of Storr. Be prepared to walk on wet moors. There will be many other tourists and the single track roads can be full of them...

Modern cottage on a perfect location (self catering)

The Gairloch View B&B is an absolute highlight. A large room with a great view, an excellent breakfast and a lovely host made it hard for us to get back.

Excellent address, thanks to our hostess Mairi. She's great, welcome, advice, stories on the island, her little dej ready to order. We're like home, it's great, she opens her house to us in simplicity.

Perfect, quiet and clean, comfortable and the lady is very nice, beautiful sea view, abundant and good breakfast, great starting point for visiting the island for those who love solitude.
