Isle of Skye

We chose Portree as our basis for 2 days trip to the Isle of Skye and these apartments served us well (a couple with a teen). Located 5 minutes walk from Portree town center.
During our stay we've faced a housekeeping problem which was resolved quickly in a phone call. Two major drawbacks that makes the difference between "Good" and "perfect":
- too soft mattresses, not very comfy sleep
- lack of the restroom/bathroom on the 2nd floor where bedrooms are
Other than this - highly recommended.

Good stay on the Isle of Skye

The appartments are well located just 10 mins walk to the centre of Portree and has its own parking.

We were staying in apartment 1. 
We had an open kitchen, lounge and dining area on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and a washing machine and tumble dryer too.  We were given a care package with tea, coffee, milk, porridge and juices too which was a really nice touch. 
The furnishings are all high quality and it was really comfortable and cosy.

The only small issue is that the bedrooms are tiny with very little space outside of the beds.   We had amazing weather in Skye so it was very warm in the rooms and would have been great to have fans just to get some air (we were too afraid to open the windows to let the midges and other insects in!!)

Apart from that it’s really good accommodation and Portree is an excellent base to explore Skye with Dunvegan, Old Man of Storr and the Fairy pools for example all within easy reach.

Great comfortable base for exploring Skye

Absolutely gem of a place to stay. 
We booked last minute, (2 adults and 2 kids) accommodation is difficult to find at the moment on the islands, and was not expecting anything exceptional. We were wrong. 
Home farm apartments are so homely and comfortable it’s easy to forget your not in your own place. These are more than apartments, they are lovely small houses with your own door and bedrooms upstairs. 
All the necessities are already here, tea, coffee, milk etc
The location is great, just a few minutes walk to centre of Portree. 
Even got all our holiday clothes washed and dried in our apartment before leaving so not bogged down with it when we get home. 
Parking on site, each place is fenced off giving more privacy
We look forward to returning next year

Home away from Home

Stayed here as a group of four and found the little house to be well equipped and welcoming.

The kitchen had everything and it was handy to have a washing machine and dryer after a long week away.

Two bedrooms upstairs and the shared shower (Shared with members of your own household!) was downstairs.

Nice touch with Tea, Coffee, OJ and some biscuits left in the kitchen for us.

I really liked it personally, two tiny gripes and please realise they are very small! Sofas not that comfortable bed you tend to slide off of them, and power shower is not very powerful, but I don’t think I’ve every had on that is in 35 years of being alive! :p

Overall I would definitely recommend this place, a nice alternative to the B&B, more flexibility and time to relax should you wish to do so, little secure garden too if you have kiddies.

Nice apartment 

It's a good option to spend the night in Portree, a comfortable apartment, clean and easy to locate, well-equipped kitchen, the worst thing if you're going with children is that the space in the living room is not very large, but for a night it's worth it.

As promised. We went back. Thank you to Janice & team for a warm and friendly welcome & delicious welcome pack. Excellent and well kept & comfortable facilities. A thoroughly relaxing stay. Lots of nearby walks for all abilities. We’ll be back. Again. 

2nd stay..

We spent 2 nights there with 2 teenagers The house/apartment is perfectly located, very modern, the comfort is complete (up to the washing machine and laundry dryer) The owners are very attentive, and care about the well-being of their tenants  A little greeting, breakfast products, laundry...shortly everything is well thought out One single bemool for us would be the double bed bed that lacks cruelly comfort.;-) But we recommend this accommodation without reservation Thank you

A beautiful little house

Beautiful row house with two small rooms; completely adequate. Well furnished with little attention. Everything is clean and you feel like the owner. In front of the door is a fenced garden, which is sure to be ideal with small children or dog. The key handover was easy. Parking is enough. The accommodation is 10 minutes above the town. Tip: Portree itself has a lot of tourists. In the evening you should reserve or cook yourself.

Great row houses with everything you need.

The appartment was clean and well equipped with dishwasher, washer and drier.fresh milk tea and coffee and bag of popcorn were a welcome gift.Unfortunately we were disappointed. No views and quite dark inside. Four of us all in our 70's and didn't expect shared facilities . Steep narrow stairs down from bedrooms to the the shared overbath shower and toilet. Steep 10 minute walk down to the town. The web site should make it clear that the apartment is out of the town centre and has only one shower and toilet which are on the ground floor. We thought it was expensive for what we got.

Clean and well equipped

Good location short walk to the centre. Independent check in and out via key lock box made things easy. Kitchen was generously stocked with food and drink. Good wifi and smart TV. Bedrooms simple and clean. Bed was very soft but still slept well. Close by parking. Would definitely stay here again.
