My wife and I stayed in this wonderful flat for two nights (family members were unable to join us because of new Covid restrictions).  It was too big for us, but we loved the style and quality of the decor/surroundings, the facilities, and the perfect location (and glorious views). It was the perfection place to end our marvellous Skye experience.



Loved everything about this marvellous flat

I just stayed here with a group of friends during a tour of the island. Located on the portrait bench two steps from the city center, apartment on two levels very clean and just renovated in a very characteristic and neat way. Although it happened almost by chance I think a group can't make a better choice in Portree.. certainly not the cheapest but the price is more than justified!!!

This is adorable!

We loved this apartment. It was very spacious and comfortable (we were family of five). Beautiful view in a great, central location in Portree. The owners left us some lovely food. The only down side was the low stream of hot water in the bath...but this is no reason not to take this house.

Great

Had trouble finding a place to accommodate 3 travelers. When we tried booking for our August visit in April, nothing to as available. Went ahead and book this even though it was more than we needed. 

The other reviewers do a good job of highlighting the positives of the location, furnishings, etc. Initially we were very impressed but there were some major annoyances which soured our overall impression. 

•the place is not in great repair -- toaster is finicky, handle in the shower is broken, hot water system in the tub shower kept turning off after 7 minutes then alarming which required a call to learn how to reset the system. Resetting takes several minutes! And this in the middle of a shower. 
•the hot water system for the tub is very difficult to deal with. Maybe for someone familiar with British plumbing they would have no problem. The instructions of how to get hot water for the bath were vague at best and involved climbing on a chair to set a "boost" timer and even after calling, we could not get it to work. In fact we never had a hot bath despite that being one of the major things we were looking forward to. 
•for the price of the accommodations-- get toilet seats that actually fit and tighten it properly!
•the front door is extremely difficult to lock and unlock with the key provided. From the inside -- no problem. 
•remote for TV does not work. 

Great location. Some nice amenities BUT after a long day of hiking and touring, not being able to take a bath despite the tempting pictures was annoying and disappointing. 

Disappointing 

Apartment on two floors on the Portree harbour, a few feet from the small fishery. The site is very quiet despite the tourist traffic. The apartment is well functional despite the fact that the cold and hot water tapes are separated in the clean bathrooms.

Pleased.

I booked this because all the hotels were full (and we were only 3 people so didn't really need a 3 bed apartment) but it is a great place to stay. Centrally located on the island so within easy reach of the Trotternish as well as Elgol and the Cuillns. Portree is a nice base with a good coop and some nice restaurants (we recommend Seabreezes and their sister restaurant on the village square as well as No 1 Bosville and Cafe Arriba for lunch). Comfy beds, 21/2 bathrooms and a lovely lounge area with plenty of seating, some of it thoughtfully positioned by the windows with a delightful view over Portree harbour. Parking was easy (we never failed to find a spot right outside). Access was great with detailed driving instructions and a key lock box. The owner also thoughtfully provided tea, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, porridge, cookies and a box of chocolates. Coming from Australia I would have really appreciated a hairdryer and some conditioner but these are minutes gripes. I would stay again and recommend to friends.

Perfect location

We stayed here for one night, during a short tour of the highlands. The previous reviews of the apartment offer a very thorough review of the apartment itself, so I won't repeat that here. My first impression of the place, was of a luxurious bolt hole in the centre of a busy town. It's very spacious and furnished in a style that invites you to chill out. Large comfortable sofas, lots of dark wood and quite subdued lighting. I love the bath in the family bathroom. Very deep and adds to the feeling of escapism. The beds are also very comfortable. The location next to the harbour means no traffic noise, and double glazing further helps to protect from noise outside. One of the nicest places I've stayed.

The information provided by the owners before our arrival was also very efficient in terms of directions etc, and the welcome pack of coffee, biscuits etc was a nice touch. All in all, a really nice place.

So relaxing, and what a lovely bath!

This was delightful place to stay -- great location, beautiful views, walking distance to the village and all that it offers. Overall this is a roomy place with a wonderful kitchen, dining/living area and three very nice bedrooms, a full bathroom as well as a second bathroom off one of the bedrooms with a shower, sink and toilet. The upstairs hall also had a separate WC and one of the bedrooms has a handy sink.

The place also had a washer-dryer in the kitchen, which was pure genius, and a great tv in the pleasant living/dining room.

The location couldn't be better. It sits on the edge of the water, but is close enough to walk to the village bakery. The owners seem like welcoming and kind people. We didn't get to meet them, but they left chocolates and a note for us. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I would definitely stay here again, but I do hope they're able to fix the water stains on some of the walls and maybe shampoo those rugs before my return!
