It was ok, good place, nice and easy to find, not so friendly receptionist. After long drive it was good hotel to stay, i would recommend. near by good place to walk around. go to the castle. When i return will come back. My friends like it as well as we did. Thank you

Good place.

Budget accommodations are OK, but this place really needs to up its game...for example, the glass door for the shower has a gap between the bottom and the tub, so our bathroom flooded when we used the shower.  The tiles in the tub had mold in the grouting and desperately needed cleaning.  Our room was never serviced, nor our towels replaced, during our stay.  We were told that was because we failed to put a sign on the doorknob asking for service.  Not only were we not told we had to do this--there was no such sign anywhere to be found in the room!  Yes, it's hard to get staff these days, and yes, it was almost the end of the tourist season, but this is just minimum service and cleanliness.  The meals were OK there, though what they called "sticky toffee pudding" should be a crime to serve in a country where this dessert is offered frequently, and to far better result.  Their version?  Didn't even look like the real thing (and certainly didn't taste like it).  If you're going to offer a classic dessert like this, make more of an effort.  If you can't be bothered, then, well, don't bother.

Even a budget hotel should meet some minimum standards

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is dirty, paint is chipping, drywall is falling off the bathroom wall, the bath mat should have been thrown away years ago. You cannot open the bathroom door to let the shower steam out, if you do the fire alarm will go off. The front desk service was terrible. The only positive was the bartender and his choice of music.  I would have been more comfortable sleeping in the car. 

Don't stay here.....keep looking

We went as part of a coach tour - no porterage, no assistance at Reception with anything; we were a nuisance. In view of the price we paid menu acceptable although thrown at us. Our room, at the end of a narrow corridor, was small, dusty and unacceptably hot, bath mat dirty. Towel rail not working, pillows like bricks. The whole Hotel needs a good clean. A disappointing introduction to Skye.

Did not appreciate staff using F … word and staff that appeared not on duty but under the influence of too much alcohol at the bar Mugs in room dirty bed and towels did not feel fresh . Perhaps the bedrooms should be redecorated and new furniture as down stairs in dining area 

Hotel needs revamp and staff training in customer care

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay. The whole property is badly needing upgrading. The hotel is in a wonderful location but generally it was not very clean and looked very run down. Most of the staff were lacking in any kind of training, knew nothing much about the area and seemed uninterested in their jobs. The exception to this was the young man who greeted us and helped us with our luggage on arrival and when we left. He was very kind and helpful.On the second day we discovered that the room had not been cleaned or fresh towels provided. When asking at reception we were abruptly told that they no longer did housekeeping of the rooms. I pointed out that it still listed housekeeping on the Expedia website but got no reply.We had dinner there the first night and it was very poor. I ordered haddock and chips expecting it to be fresh and delicious. It was obviously frozen, the batter like rubber and the fish looked and tasted unpleasant. The 2 others in the party ordered salmon as it was apparently gluten free but it came smothered in a sauce which had to be scraped off. Service in the bar was very slow despite the bar being almost empty.At breakfast we asked if the crumbs from a previous diner could be removed from the table. The waiter swept them from the table with his hand!A hotel which could have been lovely was very disappointing due to a total lack of efficient and caring management and training.

Room was adequate, but definitely needs a coat of paint to cover stains on wall. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom new and very clean. The town is small, but beautiful and great to walk around. Restaurant in hotel is mediocre, but not many choices in town. Staff was very friendly.

Scruffy, dated and in need of a total refit/reorganisation.  Bathroom had mould on walls.

Heater  in room hanging off wall,ŕoom dirty . ext room so Cold slept with  clothes on.Disgrace.

Needs updating, fresh coat of paint, replace carpeting, remove mold from bathrooms. This hotel was chosen based on location and that was the best feature. Our room was well over 200$ and was a ridiculous price.
