Another good stay. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable (particularly the beds.) The breakfast is good. Free car parking too. It's a quieter area but close to braehead. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here again.

Another good stay

Booked this hotel because  I’d heard good things about their broccoli dishes. Imagine my surprise when we sat down for dinner we were promptly told, ‘we’ve nae broccoli’. This instantly put a dampener on things and what also put a dampener on things was the constant rain we had. It rained solid for a week. Now I get that’s not the Premier Inns fault as Scotland, especially the west of Scotland is known for being rather moist.

Next night we were greeted by a cheery chappy called Kevin who again informed us of the lack of broccoli much too my chagrin. He kindly offered to plant some at the side of the hotel so we could get our broccoli fix but after survey o turf it was deemed to swampy for the seeds to take, plus the likely hood of it growing to an adult size portion in the two short weeks I was staying there was probably slim but the thought was there for sure.

Broccoli aside, the hotel was comfortable, staff we mostly pleasant, shout out to Shannon who helped us out with the WiFi which was intermittent to say the least but they were transitioning to a new system by all accounts. The £15 I spent on ultimate wifi was a waste of time as i couldn’t log in. 

The last two days there was a rather unhelpful lady on the desk (hence the 4 stars) who didn’t seem bothered about my wifi situ and went on to say she had worked in many hotels and the wifi at this particular branch was probably the best. Fine if it let you log on I suppose, I told her I’d used 20gb of data on my phone data she wasn’t for moving, printing off a code would’ve been nice but even though I showed her my receipt she lacked compassion and muttered something about virgin, which of course I’m not, I’ve had my fare share of birds let me tell thee.

Big shout out to Ronnie behind the bar who was off to the big game, hopefully he enjoyed watching his team win 3-3 at the nearby football stadium. Think there was a parade of the ‘we won the second half cup’ the next day but I couldn’t attend due to work commitments.

Back home now and have been overdosing on broccoli as it seems the local Aldi has so much of 
the green stuff, they sell it. Maybe Premier Inn should do their shopping there, they’d probably save themselves a few bob as I got a big back for 89p.

Also big should out to Kevin for swapping my nights about.

Nae Broccoli!

Use this hotel for business trips regularly. It is beside IKEA and it is convenient for Braehead shoppping centre. Rooms are always clean, staff are really friendly and food is always nice! Definitely recommend. The barman Ronnie is a gentleman!

Great stay.

Stayed on the 30/04/2024 as hotel was handy for the shopping. 
We were disappointed when we arrived as the hotel looked shabby. 
The receptionist was friendly and helpful. 
The room was tired and the air con was faulty, it stayed on for 2 minutes at a time and then cut out. This was obviously not a new fault as there was a stand alone heater and fan in the room. The stay was very uncomfortable due to this and disturbed our sleep although the bed was very comfortable. 
The evening meal was frozen ingredients and the extractor fan in the kitchen was faulty filling the dining room and hotel with fumes. 
The breakfast was alright. 
I would not stay here again!

Very disappointed

The staff here are absolutely lovely! Bar man Ronnie was kind, helpful and funny- made my trip really! The food, both breakfast and dinner, was super tasty and great service. Definitely worth adding the meal deal!

The bed was super comfy and everything was nice and clean. Not a single fault!

Brilliant!

The staff here are really friendly and remembered me from my previous visit and make you feel welcome especially the barman, Ronnie. The food is really delicious and delivered promptly. Convenient for the shopping centre and hospital.

Great hotel

Unfortunately my stay here was because of a motorcycle accident in the Highlands and my wife had to be airmed to Glasgow because of her injuries. As this Premier Inn is close to the QE2 hospital, I booked in here. The staff, especially Kevin, could not have been more understanding or helpful given my circumstances. They are all a credit to the company ! The hotel itself is well run, good food and overall very comfortable. One of the best Premier Inns I've stayed in.

Superb hotel and staff !

We had an awful night here….after getting into bed to relax and watch TV  the TV wouldn’t work. My husband had to get up get dressed and walk along to reception….not once but five times!!! Back and forth with new batteries..then a new remote..more batteries …another remote…there were also no spare pillows. There was a bag which normally we would get pillows in but this time it was a duvet and a mattress protector!! Eventually we gave up but when a chap on night shift came to deliver our pillows he asked if he could have a look at the TV…He looked all round and felt round the edges (as we had) but found nothing. He then shone his phone from the side into the space behind the TV and just managed to touch the switch on a very well hidden plug and the TV came to life!! Someone had switched it off!!! But all this took almost two hours and by this time we were wound up and no way were we anywhere near relaxed. Sleep took ages due to the fact we were so wound up! Not good when you are in your 70’s!!! 
The next morning as I was paying I asked the girl for our money back under the “Good sleep or your money back GUARANTEE! You know the one they proudly advertise everywhere. 
The girl at reception…the deputy manager..said she couldn’t refund it but very kindly gave me a phone number for Customer Relations!! Obviously gave me the number to get rid of me because I tried all afternoon and all I got was a recorded message telling me the phone line wasn’t in use. I tried for a couple hours then phoned the hotel and was given a link to contact customer relations. 
Well this is where my frustration began…I’ve had messages from at least SIX different people all asking for my booking reference and details of our stay. Unfortunately for some reason this time I cannot find any text or email from Premier Inn confirming our stay so have no reference regards our booking reference! But I have sent the a screenshot of my bank statement showing the payment being made the morning we left but this is of no use to them apparently!! As far as I’m concerned this should be all the proof that we stayed there and therefor I see no problem with them refunding the money for our stay. I have by the way given them room number details related a conversation I had with the receptionist oh and there are also three bar payments included in the screenshots…..none of which has deterred them from insisting they will only deal with me if I produce the booking reference which they no fine we’ll I don’t have. Another strange thing is I got no receipt sent to me ( as I always have had previously) which came with a statement asking how you had enjoyed your stay!

Now they want my husband to pm them the full story again….so we start it all over again…all for under £100 from such a large company….me I think they are false advertising and hoping I’ll give up…but…I’m sticking to my guns…You can’t advertise something then  back off when someone makes a claim ….disgusting way to treat previously very happy customers….

Don’t believe their advertising!! Ok looks great until you try and claim! “Premier in Appalling  Service!”

I was staying as I had the hospital the following morning. Unfortunately I was disturbed most of the night. It was ver warm night so I opened the window. We were in room 7 which is located on ground level. The smoking area is at the other side of the window. So as well as people talking, laughing and coughing. The room was smelling of smoke. As a non smoker I wasn’t pleased.

After the chaos of the day at Glasgow Airport when eventually our whole holiday was cancelled on us, and with no help at all from our holiday company / airline we were forced to arrange hastily our own accommodation for the night. Quick online search and booking for this Premier Inn, and a short taxi ride from the airport saw us arrive just before 9. After checking in and putting the cases in the rooms we went downstairs to find the restaurant had just closed. 

This is where you see the difference in service…despite the restaurant being closed one of the  amazing staff (Kevin) offered to make us a couple of pizzas for the family. Add to that the friendliness of Ronnie behind the bar and we were able to chill out a bit after a very long and frustrating day!

I always think it’s easy for company’s to be nice when things are going well, but it is in times of adversity that you see their true colours…and Premier Inn are just fantastic and providing a Premier service!

Should say as well food was excellent, including the usual all you can eat breakfast this morning! And of course usual quality sleep and hotel quiet throughout.

So massive thanks to Kevin, Ronnie and all the staff from the Duncan’s. Massively appreciated!!!
