We can’t thank Aarans enough, we had a nightmare journey from London. Aarans service was amazing, they helped turn a nearly terrible day into a positive. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend, thank you

We’ll be back 

We had two wonderful nights at the Aaran Lodge Guest House.  Theresa and Alana were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble.  The room was spacious, clean and well furnished; bathroom excellent and we also had a lovely breakfast.  Again, nothing was too much trouble.  A great base to visit the City .... also based on some great transport routes.  We would definitely book here again. Perfect hosts - perfect stay.

From outside everything seems nice, you then walk inside and are asked to sign you name and address in a book and pay instantly for the stay you are taking.
The room is good size, but the bed is a strange type. It has wood at the sides, all around and it makes you feel like you are in a cot!

Looks nice, but made to pay on arrival.

We were staying here after travelling around the north of Scotland and were greeted so warmly. The lodge is absolutely stunning inside and out. So well kept, clean tidy and beautifully decorated to such a high standard. Our room was room 3 ground floor over looking the forecourt (which pleased my partner to keep an eye on his car!) We loved our room, bathroom and facilities. Bottles of water were a great touch after a day of travelling. Breakfast setting in the large dining room, we both had continental and it was perfect. Theresa and team were amazing. We would love to come back and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you! 

Wow what a place! 

Just back from a 2 night stay in Aaran Lodge.  Teresa is a fantastic host and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay.  The rooms are spotless and spacious and the whole decor of the guest house are as good as a 4/5 star hotel if not better.   Very handy to the train station and takes about 6 mins in the train to get to Edinburgh.  Delicious breakfast.  Will definitely stay again.  Many thanks Teresa.

Wonderful gem Guest House

Beautiful decor, very grand and our room was lovely. Such good value for money - included a great cooked breakfast, water in the room, free wifi and parking is free on site. 

Getting to Edinburgh city centre was really easy too - we did the 6 minute walk to the train station and were in Waverley station 10 mins later. Taxi back cost £9 including tip. Highly recommend!

Lovely guesthouse - great value

Had a lovely 2 night stay here. Room was absolutely spotless, extremely spacious and very comfortable with a large double bed plus a 2 seater sofa. En suite/ shower was immaculate. Really nice selection of tea/coffee and biscuits in the room and bottled water provided. Delicious breakfast, either full Scottish or Continental and Theresa was happy to take orders the night before if we wanted something different. Highly recommend this beautiful guest house and ideal for trips to Edinburgh as the train only takes 6 minutes. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Theresa.

Pretty Portobello

Stayed here for 4 nights during the Edinburgh festival. Have been travelling through the UK for a month and stayed at numerous hotels and B&Bs and this one is right up there. Probably one of the best and would recommend it to their travellers coming to the region. It is well located near the train station and buses pass outside. There is also parking available which was important for us doing a driving holiday.

Also like to add that this property is beautifully furnished in a very tasteful manner and meticulously cleaned and maintained. The breakfasts are 1st class and all cooked by the owner Teresa.

Best B @ B ever

Loved this Guest House - obviously no expense has been spared in making everything luxurious - we had a huge bedroom, with comfortable bed, table and chairs and a sofa, as well as lovely bathroom.  All perfectly clean and beautifully decorated, with plenty of cushions, even lovely lampshades etc!  Breakfasts were great, full Scottish or special requests (mine were poached eggs, lovely).

Stunning B&B

Well first of all I have never been in a hotel as clean.it was beautiful as you can see from the photos. It is well placed for bus stop in Edinburgh also a small walk to get the train each is very easy & good service. We arrived & there seemed to be a mix up with the booking as we had booked 2 double rooms but got it all sorted out. The quality of the bedrooms were great as was the beds they were really comfortable. Breakfast was a treat there was nothing more you could have looked for so glad I took a picture of my husbands smoked salmon & scrambled eggs ,everything cooked fresh to order I even heard others asking for items that wasn’t on the menu & if they had it they said they would get it no problem (& did) would definitely go back.well done all for making our trip comfortable.
