We stayed prior to visiting a famous theme park.
We had dinner here and it was 5 star.
Friendly staff checked us in and the suit was huge.
Very peaceful village in a beautiful part of the world.
Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic value

I have visited the hotel for lunch 3 times in the last few weeks with my family. The service and the food has been excellent on each occasion. Emma, particularly, gives great service and always with a smile.

Lunch at the Blenheim

I'stayed at the hotel many times over the last few months whilst working near Derby. Great value, super friendly staff and excellent food. Highly recommended and will be staying here again when I'm next in the area.

Excellent location for business in Derby

Booked an afternoon tea as a birthday treat via a Groupon Deal. Sandwiches and cakes were lovely and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely return to try their Sunday lunches.

Afternoon Tea

We stayed the night at this wonderful hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much for the staff even when we didn’t notice the table that had been laid out for us for breakfast and we sat at another table. Very embarrassing for us and the staff took it in their stride. The accommodation was excellent. We had a very nice, luxurious and spacious suite. The food was fantastic. Do try the truffle oil mayonnaise, wow!!!! The food is home cooked quality, what more could you ask for and the desserts were just out of this world. Do try the Chocolate Marquis, it is devine. It is a dog friendly hotel. Our girls loved it!!!! We will be going back. I almost forgot, their selection of Gins is excellent as is their selection of ales.

Just the ticket

Called in for a lunch courtesy of Groupon. Staff were friendly and the lunch was lovely. We both had the lamb and mint pie with mash peas and gravey. The lamb was tender and tasty. 

I liked the atmosphere and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely lunch 

Have recently stayed at this Hotel, rooms are well appointed with all basics and a couple of extra touches such has bottled water available to dispense they are very clean and tidy with compact but usable bathroom. Food in the restaurant is a real pleasure with fresh tasting ingredients and a good menu with all pub classics and extras. There is a very well stocked bar area top quality gin selection with seating prices are good for the area. The land lady is a very bubbly lady with such a friendly welcoming demeanour, welcoming all guest as if they were old friend, was really good to see that she was very approachable and that she always gave customers the time that they wanted to answer question or give advice. No questions was to hard to stupid. Overall a great location, great food clean and welcoming venue for all. Cannot wait to revisit!

Friendly and Welcoming atmosphere 

My wife and I booked for 2 nights as my family were all coming to celebrate my 70th birthday on the Sunday all having Sunday lunch. The food was very nice, I don't think there was one complaint and considering there were 14 of us I think that's brilliant. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They even upgraded our room at no extra cost for the Sunday night. 
There is a very good selection of drinks behind the bar. My wife was struggling to choose which gin she would like haha.
The only downside was that the WiFi would only work in the bar area and our network (Vodafone) hardly worked anywhere in the hotel. That wouldn't put me off going again.
The Irish coffee made up for it 😊

Excellent Service 

Good was nice and well presented. However it was only just warm. We had to wait an age for dessert,  and when it came some received different sizes portions of the same sweet than  others.
Apart from the company which was excellent as. always. I don't think this venue would make it into my list of revisits.

Sunday lunch

Great little public house / inn that once was a school house. The one downside was the parking. Only about 6 parking places and it only takes a few idiots inconsiderate parking to knock that down to 4. The only option is to park in the street. The room the Thomas Gerrard Suite was very large and the bathroom was well appointed, large double bath and separate shower.The TV was a 40" flat screen wall mounted. The food in the restaurant was top notch and reasonably priced and the breakfast in the morning good quality and plentiful. The staff were all friendly and attentive.
