room was nice. shame the bed wasnt better made. only 1 pillow each but had 2 spares in a bag. tea tray poor. only 1 of each tea, coffee and 2 of each sugar. yes there was more to collect free at reception. only 1 hand towel and  2 small bath towels for 2 people.
breakfast was lovely. stuart went above and beyond to make sure there were no onions in hash browns as im allergic. the whole breakfast was amazing and keep.us going for our long journey home..
location was fab.for our venue.

came for a party

Despite having to cope with a group of marauding parents and their children, who were staying over from a football tournament, the staff were absolutely brilliant. In particular I would like to say thank you to Chloe, Lauren, and the other two members of staff who were really supportive when called upon. Thank you guys, my family and I really appreciated your commitment to still offering a sterling service despite others making your work difficult. You did not allow the behaviours of others to prevent you from delivering a completely professional service. We look forward to returning again in the future.

Superb customer service against the odds.

Over all good location, large free carpark, quiet hotel and good facilities but loads of annoying niggles which dented our stay. Worst of which was the fire alarm going off just after 7am on our first night, it kept going so we prepared to exit the building only for it to stop with no staff to be seen, no explanation and no apologies when we went downstairs. At breakfast the traditional juices had been substituted for a disgusting watery tropical mix and the only yogurt on offer was plain Greek which didn’t go down well with children. We ate in on the second night, staff did their best but they were way understaffed, we were left sitting in the restaurant for two hours and finally had to cancel dessert to get the upset child to bed, the following morning at breakfast half the goods and utensils had to be requested, I was constantly asking for basic things which had not been refilled. Alongside that the ceiling was being repaired with the use of a noisy drill right in the middle of service which didn’t make much sense. Come on Premier Inn, if staff are off ill, rota on others, customer service was really poor due to lack of staff on shift, they simply couldn’t keep up with demand.

Mixed bag

I would like to praise sasha and Stuart for the way they handled the evening. they were extremely understaffed, they never once stopped. they was bombarded with complaints regarding waiting times for meals, they did more than anyone could of done to please customers. an absolute amazing performance they stopped the ship from sinking. sasha stuart thank you

amazing staff

Visited with family for breakfast,  we got a very warm welcome from the receptionist who was friendly and helpful.

A special mention for Simon, Louise and Saunders the Chef in the restaurant.  They were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They were helpful and polite and assisted us with everything we needed.  A lovely and welcoming team.

There was a great selection of hot and cold food which was well cooked and plentiful.  Good selection of hot and cold drinks too.

Everywhere was lovely and clean.

All in all it was a very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend a visit even if it is only for breakfast.  Good value for money with a warm welcome.

Excellent dining experience

Reception were very slow, dismissive and gave a poor service. 

The room stank of cigarette smoke and mild. Experienced the raft of dodgy taps and plumbing.

Room was not cleaned and replenished during stay, despite this being asked. 

Evening restaurant meal was bland, poor quality, tiny portions and took a ridiculous amount of time to be served (I was only 1 of 4 in the restaurant, so they do not have the 'we are busy' excuse).

Simon (the waiter serving breakfast) and breakfast was the only good thing about my stay. I only stayed for breakfast 1 day and Simon was a pleasure - The only member of staff during my entire stay that asked if I was happy with the service. For the conveniences and the quantity, staying for breakfast was worth the £9.99. 

Sub par

Very friendly and a nice insensitive left in the room.  Good bathroom facilities and comfortable bed.  We know it was a busy weekend but there could have been an extra member of staff in the bar/restaurant at peak evening times 

A nice stay

Amazing staff from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.  Especially Darren, Simon, Laura and Nigel (unfortunately we didn’t get everyones names, sorry). Our stay was for a reunion for myself and my dearest friend from NZ and the staff were simply brilliant. Thank you to all of you.

Amazing 

Excellent stay both nights felt comfortable & had a great sleep. Simon on breakfast was very good at his job cater for our needs in every aspect, Very polite and easy to talk too. The lady on reception was also very helpful  these are the only 2 members of staff we spoke to. This was a trip to Alton towers for a weekend. 

Easy check in/out

I have stayed in many many Premier Inns including 3 in Derby, but must review on this one in particular. Not only has it a large car park right outside the front door, but the rooms are very big and also the most cleanest & spotless rooms out of any Premier Inn I’ve stayed in. The staff are so friendly and lovely, they treat you with respect and kindness. In particular Amy and Aina, but all of the staff I have spoke to our extremely pleasant.
