I'm not sure you remember like I do that awful human smell in the school changing rooms of sweat, grime and unwashed bodily discharge? Well you'll reminisce the moment (and flavour) as you enter your cell (which they refer to as "apartment").

You'll experience what is more reminiscent of a "be a convict for a night" tourism attraction in this authentic prison-style room.

A fold-up camp bed, filthy bathroom, stained carpets, paint-flaking walls and smells to savour await!

There is no TV, no iron, no hangers...in fact no anything.

But it's cheap...and that's what enticed you in huh? So you've only yourself to blame!

Bodily smells, grime & punishment!

Good location / good price / ok staff .

Bed was uncomfortable/ sharp corners  on bed led to nasty scratch. 

Very noisy on my floor , door constantly slamming . No sleep 

Something needs to be done re doors . 

Basically no frills but Brighton is expensive to stay

Halls stay

I stayed for 4 nights in July and was extremely happy with my stay. This is student accommodation, with shared kitchen facilities, for anyone to expect the shared kitchen facilities to be regularly cleaned by staff is just unfair. Just like the students that live there most of the year, the people using the kitchen should clean up after themselves. I found the kitchen extremely clean and well equipped. The room was very basic but honestly, I don't understand how they can even rent rooms at such low prices without making a loss. If I had paid normal hotel prices (VERY expensive in Brighton during the summer months and popular events!) I would have of course had different expectations but I knew what I was booking and was positively surprised. The location was central and I could walk everywhere which was a huge bonus, the train station was within a walking distance as well. Staff were SUPER helpful, accessing the rooms was easy and I found it very quiet even though we were in the city centre. I was also expecting lots of noisy students and young people to be banging the doors and roaming around the corridors at night but this didn't happen either. I would definitely stay here again and hope to be able to return soon!

Amazing value for money, central location

Excellent central location with pre bookable parking at only £5 a day. Less than a 10min walk to the sea and to the Laines and shops. Clean and contrary to other reviews we found it very quiet at night. Victoria on reception in particular was very helpful, the shower wasn't draining well and there was a cleaner there in less than 30mins. We liked having a staffed reception for queries and it was great to have the basics in, tea, coffee, uht milks for when we arrived. 
Will definitely return! 

Great value central location 

According to their notice in the flat "All flats will be thoroughly deep cleaned prior to your arrival," This is NOT the case!  The kitchen hasn't even had a basic clean, let alone a deep clean. The work tops are dirty, sticky and dusty. See photos. The microwave is rusty around the door seal making it unsafe and unhygienic to use. See photo.
Also, in 2 of the bedrooms there is a loud mechanical hum which will make sleeping difficult.
We tried to complain, but although check in was supposed to be until 22:00, at 21:50 there was only a security guy at reception who couldn't help us.

Such an magical little shop! Theres the most beautiful fairy house. All unique things! I bought a card for my sister with flowers made of old pieces of glass - never seen anything else like it. As said in the title the staff were also so so friendly, highly reccommend

A beautiful place with friendly staff!

I've learnt my lesson and won't stay here, or somewhere like here again, just to save a few quid on a business trip. Very loud with drunken randoms or people playing loud music - even the closing of window and putting headphones on to sleep won't drown them out. My room had 1 working light, so it was very dim to work in. All in all meant I just stayed in the office as long as I possibly could before going back to the accommodation. Never again.

Cheap...for a reason.

I stayed here for a sports event in Brighton and was impressed to find a two night ensuite room for less than 100£ incl parking.
Based on that there is not much I can fault.

That said - it was extremely basic accommodation. The single bed was comfortable, but sat in a dated room with dated sheets and worn carpet. The shower was not the cleanest and had hardly any pressure. The noise from the seagulls throughout the night was hard to put up with. The adjoining communal kitchen was modern, but again not the cleanest.
If you only need somewhere to sleep, this will do well! 


Good value, but not much more

The staff on reception were so nice. I didn't mention when booking that I prefer a room on a lower floor so when I arrived I was booked into a second floor room.  The staff couldn't have been more helpful in moving me to a more suitable room. The accommodation is basic but perfectly fine for a few night's stay.  The room and shower were clean and the bed was comfortable. Some of my friends found it a bit noisy with people coming in late and talking loudly but I'm a sound sleeper and didn't hear a thing!  Very good value for money - it is what it is and I would stay there again. 

Clean and comfortable

I spent one week in this Residence (while attending an English course in Brighton) in a single room with private bathroom, in an 8-rooms apartment, with a shared kitchen and living room. The room wasn't very big but ok for a short stay; also the bathroom was small and very basic. This accomodation is good to meet other students, as you can meet them in the common area and have breakfast/lunch/dinner together. You can enter/go out at every time, without any problem.
