What you need to know is that I stay in Bradford for two or three nights most weeks. I've tried most hotels in the area and all sort of let me down... Mostly due to location. What I love about Heaton Mount is its location. It's an old country house which is part of the University of Bradford. It's quiet, clean, parking is free and seems safe. There are some brilliant restaurants local or within a short drive. Also, it's not a bad price. If your on business, on a budget or fancy quirky then give it a try.

Quirky but nice

Came here with my partner through a groupon voucher which I bought as a Christmas present , could not phone the hotel all was done by email which I later found out was because the couple are poleish and do not under stand you very well and have  only been running the hotel for 6 months , on arrival the family where all sat in the bar area which seamed to be there living area where there 3 children where layed about playing on tablets and watching tv with covers over them , so whilst having a drink at the bar we where sat with there children too , after being given our key we where given a electric heater as they said it might get cold they only had under floor heating , room was poor not how it looks in the pictures the hole hotel looked tired and mucky , cheep drink at the bar which was a plus we should have been given a full English but the hotel manger said it would be a extra £5 so we had scrabbled eggs and toast and cereal , I only paid £39 on the offer but any more would be way too much for what we got , the couple where very nice but they don't seam to have very high standards in customer service and cleanliness and the language barrier was a little difficult, I did feel a little sorry for them but please be aware if your not fussy and just want a bed for the night you'll be ok 

Little disappointing

Stayed the night with my partner as part of a birthday gift. I was sceptical due to the lack of review, that being said I was pleasantly suprised. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, and we'll prepared. The rooms are well refurbished and very cosy. Under the floor heating and a VERY comfy bed. The one tiny issue I had was we had a few ladybugs in the room due to the time of year. Maybe the rooms could do with a bath. For the price of the room you can't get much better. Thumbs up.

Good value and a great stay.

We had planned a 1 night stay, but decided to extend the lovely experience. The hotel is close to the city centre, so was perfect for our shopping visits, and entertainment. On arrival we were met by a friendly and polite gentleman, who turned out to be the owner of the hotel, and had only acquired it recently. We were shown to our room, and I noticed there was no control for the tv, and was provided a replacement control straight away. The room was warmed by underfloor heating, and controlled from within the room. Breakfast was great, with an option of both continental and cooked. We were introduced to the wife and children, and realised why there was such a friendly and happy atmosphere. The family were very happy to meet their customers! 
The owner was happy to share a conversation that led to us finding out he had recently acquired it, and was constantly making improvements in response to his customers suggestions. We obviously made our fair share of recommendations, and he seemed happy to explore the options. 

A lovely hotel experience

A lovely family run hotel, highly recommend it

The newly refurbished bathrooms were nice, though the under-floor heating didn't extend into the bathrooms which made them feel cool compared to the bedroom. The lighting in the gents toilet won't come on in daylight which renders the sit down bit unusable. They have had some problems getting the web site updated as at the time of writing the "room only" option also said "breakfast included" which it obviously didn't. The cooked breakfast consisted on only the main dish with no cereals. We had to ask for milk for our tea and for butter for the toast. All in all it was ok but could be made better with a bit more effort.
