Stayed @Baron Hotel for four days .Lovely little place.Easy parking.Use of pool &sauna next door @ Bedford .Breakfast was of very good quality.Buffet &full English .Staff extremely friendly Would Recommended this hotel For families .Will be back

Wonderful weekend

Clean rooms and comfortable beds quite a walk away from main strip of Blackpool breakfast was ok pleasant staff if returning would try for a place closer but definitely a good b&b cannot fault it in anyway

Break away

Nice little hotel not fancy but on the seafront within walking distance to blackpools nightlife.
Cosy little room double bed and TV with shower. and the included breakfast you order arrives promptly nice little bar in the basement.

Boat show

This was our second visit to this hotel, the first time was very good but it has been bought by the Bedford next door and what a difference.  I ought to have known when I rang the previous evening before we were expected there and all I got was a "hello". I had to ask if it was the Baron Hotel.  We arrived on the due day and was given the key to our room, no mention of any help with our luggage. We arrived in the room, very basic indeed but had a sea view. The waste bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied since the previous guests had left and there was a dirty bath mat on a chair.  We reported this to reception who apologised, I said it didn't matter about the bin being emptied that day and he assured me it would be done the following morning.  Then the TV wouldn't work so we went  back to reception and all we got was methods on what to try, all of which didn't work, they clearly weren't interested in their guests.  The following day we arrived back and the TV still wouldn't work and to top it all the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied nor had our used towels been taken away, they had been folded up and put back on the bathroom stool.  Again we went down to reception who said it would be sorted.  At breakfast on our last morning there was a guy in the kitchen whose language left nothing to the imagination and I asked Maureen if she would tell him to curb is language, which she did, he didn't come out to apologise but sent Maureen back to do it on his behalf.  The final complaint is a lady asked for some beans at breakfast and was told they didn't do beans or mushrooms, fine, that's not a problem but the following day everyone had got beans.  This establishment should start by giving some staff training on customer service and how to behave along with many cleaning tips. On leaving no-one asked if he had enjoyed our stay, just as well because I was ready....  I shall not be returning to this hotel.

Bad Experience

We walked out and had to find a different hotel ,I have never seen such filth the room was disgusting the beds hadn't been changed the sheets were badly stained the pillows were beyond disgusting  the mattress was absolutely vile with a huge blood stain and I mean huge there were dirty socks hanging over the bed the woodwork had never seen bleach it was black the bathroom was mouldy ,myself and my group of Friends luckily got a full refund and checked into the lyndene ,just want to warn anyone who is booking a trip away please avoid 

Horrendous Hotel 

Absolutely horrendous stayed 3rd 6th sept walked into hotel after 6hour drive repairs being done had to pay to park out side hotel £30 rooms filthy bedroom above bar had too go down and ask for owner too turn it down this was at 2:15 in the morning he replied if I didn’t like it get out of hotel we had rang round all ready too try and move but no vacancies, also on Sunday morning at 1am fire alarm went off hotel not being manned I have added a photo of the fire exit being blocked with rubbish.
When I rang hotel when I got home they said that I was trying to get away with having free 3 nights away for nothing, very rude not ethical I write a lot more but don’t want to relive the nightmare, if you see good reviews about this hotel it is the people that was drinking in the bar and not staying at the hotel as over heard them say they would rate them high! Adding photos just to prove that the women I spoke to another owner thinks you should stay in a room like this for £85 a night!

Awful hotel!

Booked on basis of reviews location wanted somewhere nice as wedding anniversary.
On arrival was ringing bell no answer. Had to make phone call was told to check in next door. Asked if could see room before paying man on desk kept saying no need room beautiful I have put you in best room with sea view. He took us to our room 27 it smelt of drains and was quite small as had extra bed in. It was old smelly horrible. I was really upset went for drink in bar pleasant enough. Went back to room the smell was now horrendous. Asked to be moved was given room 28 which was better but still not the best. The corridor carpets and stairs haven't been vacuumed in 3  days crisp packet and mIl on floor in hallway. I put our towels on the floor to be changed and we got the same ones back had been picked up hung over shower cubicle. Lack of useable sockets in room. Asked for bedside light to be looked at one didn't work at all the other kept flicking on and off and actually burnt my hand on it. Guy on desk said he would take a look still not fixed. Went for swim water very cold some jets not working in spa and sometime had left lump chewing gum in corner of window and dirty elastoplast on floor. Breakfast good best on the Sunday morning. Breakfast staff lovely. This hotel is in need of lots of updating and as it is at the moment a good clean up some talc. Not worth the rating it has been given and definitely not good value.
