A lovey warm welcome at check in, with a  loyalty reward on arrival which was a welcomed touch.  Plenty of parking onsite at the hotel and restaurants at star city a short walk away.
The room was not made up for 4 on arrival but after a quick phone call to reception this was sorted straight away so no problems there.  A good size room for our family of 4.  
We enjoyed a hot breakfast with the offerings replenished regularly so plenty of choice even though it was a busy time.
Thank you for your hospitality would recommend and would stay again.

We stayed in Birmingham at your Holiday Inn Star City, IHG hotel.

What an amazing time we had! Although when we turned up my sister wasn’t in a room with a roll in shower which is what she needs as she’s in a wheelchair the staff were incredible and sorted it out straight away whilst apologising profusely. We had a lovely time away in Birmingham at this hotel the staff were so lovely and nothing was too much of an ask! I would like to commend 2 members of staff in particular Sian and Anna with 2 n’s as they made our stay that extra special they were so lovely and welcoming and literally went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! It’s for this reason that next time I am in Birmingham I will return to your hotel with pleasure! 

Breakfast was lovely and was replenished regularly, hotel was clean and beds were super comfy. Would recommend to anyone!

Great stay

Plenty of parking, even for big vans. The staff in the morning were brilliant, I had a flat tyre and they helped source a local tyre repair company for me. However, one male staff member in the evening was too engrossed in his phone to notice I was even standing at reception needing assistance. I purposefully waited to see how long it would take, even tapping on the counter and he was oblivious. But after raising my voice to him he soon put his personal phone down and assisted. The rooms were clean, only downside it's not very well soundproofed. Overall not a bad day and very good location for what I needed. Can't comment on food as didn't eat here.

It was ok...

 Reception/reception staff pleasant.  Room a bit grim, given an "access" room although this wasn't required.  Room very large, bed as hard as concrete and shower not functionable without crouching - lots of rust..  lucky I'm up to date on my tetanus shots 

Wouldn't return

The satff were friendly and accommodating but the bed was far too small to be classed as a double, it was more the size of a large single bed. The shower had a very poor flow, but the hotel was clean and tidy.

A very nice stay at StarCity. Great value for money with the free breakfast and parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was nice and clean.

Beds were not comfy and housekeeping was average. - only made the bed, the rest of the room was left as it was

Nice stay, hotel very comfortable as the standard of Holiday Inn. Room was very clean, big enough, with great facilities. Breakfast is fine, with a good variety.Location was a little far away from city centre but you could reach there easy.Unique negative thing was that we arrived around 3PM and we had to wait for our room. Checkin was from 2PM

Lovely hotel but poor evening food choices

Plenty of free parking. Bed was about 4 ft very small and uncomfortable. Shower light didn't work and reported it to receptionist . Room very noisy from boy racers going up and down during the. Night. Unable to open the window. Tried to change rooms but unable to. Definitely wouldn't stay again.
