Really great stay. Perfect location with the fields opposite, stayed in a shepherds hut with our dog (in the woodlands hut). cosy and well kept, lots of kitchen equipment too. Would recommend. Walking distance to lovely pubs and Bakewell is a short drive too:

Shepherds hut stay

We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary with a two night stay here. It's a lovely building and house inside is immaculate. Our spacious room overlooked the Chatsworth estate. 
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a huge choice of breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely a place to re-visit.  

A fantastic place for a short break.

We wanted somewhere to stay in close proximity to Chatsworth House as we had booked a tour to experience their Christmas theme!! Well you couldn’t get much closer as this place is in the grounds of the estate and a wonderful location you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else!! We did drive past the entrance but that was due to the terrible weather we had on our drive up from Cornwall!! Everything was explained on our welcome email so we didn’t expect to see anyone when we arrived and gaining entrance to the house was straightforward!! We had room 1 overlooking the deer park and we saw quite a few later on in the evening which was magical!! The room was great and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and as we stayed 2 nights it was just as nice second time around!! Thank you to everyone at heathy lee for making our stay so special and we would love to come back!!

Chatsworth House tour

We have just stayed at this beautiful property for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay very much and our room 2 was large and bright and had everything you need. The grounds and surrounding area are gorgeous. Breakfast was very nice too. 
We arrived in the dark on a very foggy evening and we did find it hard to locate the entrance from the main road as the signs are not lit up. Other guests we chatted to at breakfast had also experienced the same problem and driven by twice. We really feel it would be an improvement if the entrance and the car park were better lit. The night we arrived no lighting was left on at the door and we were trying to use our phones to see where we were going and access the key pad at the door. We managed but it wasn’t the best of starts to be honest. It would have been nice if the following morning we had even been asked if everything was ok and had we had any problems as we saw no member of staff when we arrived. 
To sum it up yes we would visit again but only when nights are lighter. We always prefer to walk in to Baslow on an evening  but it was quite scary to be honest as the road is extremely busy and even with the torch provided we didn’t feel safe.

Beautiful house

A really wonderful B&B, so friendly and comfortable.  We were there for just one night but we had a good night's sleep and a lovely breakfast with locally-sourced bacon and sausages and lovely yellow eggs.  Hosts were very helpful in answering questions and responding to requests.  A high-quality establishment and very good value. 

Excellent country house B&B

This B&B is fabulous.  The house itself is a Grade II listed building and is full of character.  We were in Room 2.  There are windows on 3 sides of the room and the views from all of them are lovely - right out onto Chatsworth Park.  We could watch the deer wander around the park in front of us.  The room is spacious and well appointed.  The bed large and comfortable.  The room was warm and cosy and the bathroom was all we could want, bath and shower with plenty of hot water.  Breakfast was delicious and filling.   Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.   Would highly recommend a stay in this B&B.

A break in the countryside

We have waited some time before reviewing to see whether Devonshire Hotels replied to our email from May. They haven’t bothered to do so although we called them the day we checked out early, spoke to someone and then followed up by email. The cottage is a dank dark cold and uncomfortable place. After freezing the first night (yes in May), we asked if something could be done. A chap promptly appeared and went into the attic. He said he had adjusted the heating and to him know the next day (not later that day even though the B&B is right next door) if it was still not right. After another cold night we decided to cut our losses and check out 2 days early. It spoiled our stay in the area and has put us off having anything to do with this hotel group who own /run a number of places in the area.

Awful

I have just returned from a three day stay and cannot fault this little piece of Paradise in Derbyshire. The whole house is spotless. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The house is situated in an idyllic location with magnificent views of the Chatsworth Estate.  Breakfast is superb with so many choices and served by the family. All in all a wonderful stay and I can't wait to return. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.

An Amazing Place to Stay

Stayed for a night. Fantastic location and friendly host. We could see the deer right outside the front door in the morning and you open up onto Chatsworth Park. You can walk through the park to get to Chatsworth House. its sublime.

Amazing Location

Spent 3 nights here.  Large, comfy bed.  Quiet room (number 2).  Friendly staff.  Great breakfast.  Great to be able to walk straight out of the door onto the Chatsworth Estate.  Will definitely be going back.
