Had a lovely stay in a dog friendly room for my 60th Birthday, the room was lovely and in an excellent position for taking the dog out first thing in the morning and was nice and warm, which was appreciated as it was cold outside. We enjoyed both of our breakfasts, tea, coffee, toast, then you could help yourself to cereal, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese and fruit juice, then you could choose either a cooked full breakfast, kippers, various omelettes, sandwiches (bacon, sausage, egg) or porridge, even the dog got a sausage which she thoroughly enjoyed.  Had two evening meals here as well and they were both lovely. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Brilliant Stay

A delightful 3* hotel on the outskirts of Alnwick: Warm and welcoming with plentiful, good food, hand pulled beer and spotlessly clean throughout. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, plenty of drawers and good size bedside tables. We had a large, wall mounted television, queen size bed and the wi-fi worked well in the bedroom. There were plenty of towels, the bathroom was very warm and spacious and the bath and shower was very clean and well-stocked. The sliding sash window was easy to operate, very well draught-proofed and there was very little discernible noise from outside, especially. when the blinds and curtains were drawn. The rooms are serviced daily and there is ample parking. The centre of the Town is only 10 minutes walk from the Hotel and we particularly commend The Tanners Arms and Harry's Bar if you like fine ale and good company. All-in-all a delightful experience

A delightful experience

The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel was very dog-friendly, (they even provided the dog with a sausage for his breakfast!). The hotel is comfortable and convenient for the town. The food was good as well. We enjoyed a thoroughly good weekend. Thank you.

Brilliant Staff

Nice pub with nice atmosphere. The food was good although my vegetarian friend was limited to a choice of one meal on the night we were there.
One of the desserts had a very tough base which was quite difficult to eat, did mention this and we were not charged for it.

Good pub food

We stayed here for one night with our dog and daughter. The rooms are a good size and as expected for the very reasonable price - not swanky but clean and comfortable. 
On arrival we had an issue with our allocated room, but Sharna couldn’t have been nicer about it and did her best to remedy the situation - her excellent customer service is what made our stay  - she really is a credit to the business. We were uncomfortable complaining and initially were just going to head home, but she made us feel welcome and we are glad we stayed. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and everything was hot, fresh and again, good value. Rebecca also was brilliant at breakfast. We will be back.

Great customer service

Due to the A1 being closed we arrived late and the kitchen should have been closed. The chef was amazing and cooked us a fabulous meal. The room was stunning, modern and clean. The staff were lovely, we would highly recommend staying and can’t wait to visit again. 

A gem of a place to stay 

Spotless dog friendly room with a fabulous power shower. The beds are really comfortable and the room very spacious. Staff are all brilliant, warm and friendly  nothing is too much trouble. Great place to stay. 

Alnwick gem.

Stopped here for a flying visit to the area, 10 minutes walk to the town centre. What a lovely place this is to drink, eat or sleep. The staff were super friendly, the rooms are dog friendly. The bed was enormous and so comfy, we all had a good night sleep. Great facilities throughout. Next time we visit we will definitely being having dinner there as the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

Little Gem

We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff. The restaurant/bar area was immaculate and had a nice cosy feel. 
The room didn't disappoint either. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfy and we had a great night's sleep. 
Breakfast was really tasty and well presented, they even bought some sausages for our dog.
All staff were so friendly and chatty and couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely be back soon. 

Great place to stay 

The best pub b&b we have stayed in. The rooms were superb, lots of space, exceptionally clean and very warm (it was snowing out) . Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble, they were all extremely friendly and happy. The food was delicious, from the breakfast which was buffet then cooked breakfast of your choice, to the amazing light meals at lunch to the stunning evening meals, we came home 3 stone heavier
