12 reviewsLight wood throughout the hostel made for the perfect ambiance given its location in the Carpathian mountains. The hostel is a 5-minute walk from the train/bus station and only a minute or two more to the main part of town. I had a four-person dorm and had it to myself for the four nights I was there. The beauty of off-season travel, I suppose. Plenty of toilets and showers (separate from each other), a super large kitchen, warm interior and room, with an effective heating element. Super comfy mattress and pillow, with crisp white sheets. The hostel is cleaned thoroughly and daily. The restaurant across the parking lot is not only convenient, it is quite tasty with good prices. Staff were a bit impatient with my limited Ukrainian but each meal served did not disappoint. They serve the best banosh ever. Try it! Staff at the hostel didn't speak English but we managed through translation apps and smiles. The staff were kind and helpful, despite communication issues. No common area at the hostel, just a large kitchen. No smoking inside the hostel. :-)
