It was the worst hostel I'd ever been to: dirty, dirty, bad smell, bad breakfast, bad breakfast, which I couldn't remember what it was like, on the edge of an abandoned street: from a dumpster window and an abandoned building, the building itself looked like a temporary warehouse building rather than a living room. It was scary to touch the surface in the bathroom and the shower, it looked so unhygienic. Worse of all my bad ideas about the cheapest accommodation or poor dining room for workers, it looked more like a night's sleep for a stroller.

The only bad memory of Istanbul.

Nostalji Hostel could be great, but it's not! It is close to Taxim Square, but the road is very steep. The area is very scruffy and so is the hostel.

The building is old and dilapidated. The bathrooms particularly. In one small toile there is a shower but you have to sit on the toilet to use the shower.

All the floors are old and look dirty I spite of the hard work of the cleaning ladies. The bedrooms are a good size but there are so many bunk beds crammed in that they feel very cramped.

Breakfast is a bit of a joke. No butter and no knife to spread the triangle of processed cheese. Where to eat it? Not in the kitchen! I ate mine in a room equipped with two sofas. Unfortunately the sink was used for tooth brushing, gargling and clearing of nasal passages. Not very appetising. Most guests seem to use their beds!

The hostel boasts a terrace and a cafe. The cafe is a takeaway with a phone number. The terrace is a very dirty roof which was used as a rubbish dump.

The staff are great. Not so much English but they tried to make me feel welcome

Cheap, not so cheerful

They returned the money and threw me out of the apartments just because I did hair transplantation.  Suddenly, my place was reserved for someone else.  Not pretty.

As someone who has loved Istanbul, I have had the experience of staying in many accommodations. Looking at these general comments, I would like to stay here and share my personal experience. The hotel is noteworthy in terms of cleanliness. Nothing is perfect. Of course, this place also has its shortcomings, but the hotel may be in a good condition in general.

This place has a canteen, you can meet all your needs, the best part was that the rooms were spotless. It is also a good location. It has very playful and humorous employees. I liked the most that each bed was separated into a certain area.

We were looking for a suitable place to stay with my family when we went on holiday in Istanbul, we did a lot of research, we were about to give up, we went on the advice of a friend, it was exactly what I was looking for, the hotel was exactly what I was looking for, we can't thank the cleaning staff and the authorities enough, they are all good people.

The +: the price (going from site to site: often 6€ a night). clean. often hot water The -: it's not the local family in the photos. Russian family who doesn't care about the customers. We were changed rooms after 2 days and wanted me to pay back the stay (already paid on Opodo). unpleasant. DO NOT take the DEMI-PENSION OPTION: 1/THE + 3 slices of raw + cow laughing, morning + tomato pastes, evening - 2/ it is supported by most sites 3/hours n for tourists and changing env.9h-9h30 and 18h1845 4/ they don't know who paid
