If we had to book a hotel nearby, it would meet normal requirements. So clean, quiet and have a reasonable breakfast. What we found: stinking and dirty bathroom, very tight shower, disastrous breakfast that you wouldn't even offer your enemy. And since we wanted to get out before then, they later increased the prices because it was apparently a special price that we were given. -> BETTER!!!

Holidays

the location is wonderfull. If your room is facing the sea , it is like you are sleeping over the sea. Very nice view. The rooms are clean and tidy , but some refurbishment to the rooms and bathroom would be nice. As it is an old hotel , you must not leave your bathrooms door open , the smell covers the room. Dining area and staff is very good. Our experience was in winter , maybe in summer it is more ready.

Just by the seaside - Wonderfull view

Three days I had to mop up the bathroom as it leaked after every shower. The Tv did not work. Manager would turn the air-con  off when he wanted.  On top of all that he tried to change the price even after he wrote the price down on a paper. Loved Foca beautiful place, but Kalyon Hotel spoiled the experience.  Left a bad taste.

Look out

The hotel is right on the sea front.  The decor is out of date, though the bed was reasonable but the shower door was hanging off its hinges.  I stayed for only one night and that was enough.  I stayed with a group of people and we felt that the hotel could do with updating.  Fortunately I was there when it was cool otherewise the noise from the air conditioning would have been untenable.

Great view

The bathroom/toilet was smelly and very narrow, there were mold stains in the shower. No more dinner around 9:30 p.m. At exactly 11 a.m. breakfast was cleared, even though we had announced for five minutes afterwards. For those who don't mind all this, it's OK. For us, mold is already intolerable.

Too many shortcomings

Were quoted 120 TL. when we got to the Hotel they tried for 180TL! They claim every room has a view of the Harbour. Our rom (207?) has a view of the neighbours and the washing lines! The shower was plastic and moved when you got into it and this must be the first hotel ever that I have booked into where there wasn't even one glass in the room. Room felt grotty and worn. At breakfast (?) manageress spent her time emptying out plastic bags on the table in the dining room, examining what people had thrown away to see if she could salvage anything. Her biggest smile was on finding tablets someone had discarded. Not once did she acknowledge the presence of her guests in our disgusting one night stay. Stay clear of this one!

Rip Off merchants

Stayed here for 1 night stopover between legs of our trip. I chose Foca because it sounds like a picturesque village. Not sure why I chose this hotel, but wish I hadn't! Firts of all, I couldn't get driving directions for some reason and we spent a great deal of time finding the hotel. Had asked for 2 twin beds, but instead got a double bed. The decor was outdated. The AC did not work, so we slept with the window open and listened to stray dogs barking and howling as well as people talking all night long. The bathroom was tiny! We interacted 3 times with the hostess/owner? and seemed to be an interruption each time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There must be somewhere better to stay than here!

El Hotel Kalyon is located on the waterfront of Foca, ten minutes from the center of town. Our room had fantastic views of the sea, air conditioning and TV. The room was quite nice, clean and tidy, no outside noise heard. It's like a 3 star at a price of 4, taking advantage of the fact that the hotel offer of Foca leaves much to be desired and therefore have a high price. The problem is the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom, especially the shower, as you get hooked on the wall of the bathroom that it had. you have the feeling that you take care of the hair when it comes to cleaning, since the bedroom area is flat, but the bathroom NO. The treatment of the staff is friendly.
