I stayed one night at the Moshi Green Hostel before climbing Kilimanjaro. The hostel is pretty close to town and the owners are extremely friendly! They offered airport pickup for $50, and they even offered to drive me into town when I needed to go to an ATM. There is free breakfast (eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee) and the room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the price!

Friendly service, great value

I stayed in Moshi Green Hostel 4 nights. It is a very quiet place, a bit out of the center of town. It is 10-15 mins walk to the center if you need. The rooms are clean, beds are big and have mosquito nets, there is warm water. They can prepare a decent meal if you do not feel like walking to the town. The owner/manager is very friendly and really helpful. The internet is not the best, but usually it works.

Nice and quiet place to stay

I stayed here right before I went up Kili. I had not made any reservations beforehand with tour companies or anything, just had a few ideas from my friend who had been here last year. Annette walked me to the place, suggested places for me to eat lunch, waited with me while I exchanged money and she made a really great fruit salad for dinner! Her brother was really kind also, and ferried me from the airport here. I truly enjoyed my stay here, and was a great introduction for me to Tanzanian hospitality! It is also really close to town but far enough from the main road so very quiet. I completely enjoyed staying here and do not miss it if you are in Moshi!

Best hostel in Moshi!

My partner and our friend changed from an expensive hotel which our guides put us into to Moshi Green. 
This was the best decision we made! It was extremely clean and the food is amazing! 

After climbing Kilimanjaro we had plenty of dirty clothes and after a hot shower. Annette provided a very affordable and efficient laundry service which had is smelling good again in no time. 

Annette was a wonderful hostess that extremely accommodating to us making some of the most amazing vegetarian meals for us. Even when we came back extremely late from a day trip she whipped us up an amazing meal!

I would highly recommend Moshi Green Hostel to anyone looking for accommodation in moshi. 

Perfect post kili wind down

The hostel was chosen because of the very good location for the start of the Kilimanjaro marathon, for which we came to Moshi. The place was really good, the only downside - at night the approach to the house is not illuminated, walking was worrying. In the rest there were only positive emotions! The rooms are spacious, toilets and showers with new, modern sanitary equipment and heaters. The beds are new, convenient. For breakfast the standard set in the form of toasts, eggs and fruits (we have been replaced with extra fruits, which was very convenient). At the hostel there is a kitchen, you can order lunch or dinner, prepared by about an hour, like in the city.

It's like home!

Made Green Hostels my base while I trekked to Mt. Kili and safari. The breakfast was wonderful (a surprise since I didn't expect it). When I was there, there were a few blackouts and next time I was back the land lady made sure she got solar power generator so we will always have power. The rooms were spacious and bed comfy. Completely wonderful!

Great place to stay

We stayed 2 nights at the Green Hotel in Moshi! The room was relatively large and clean, there was warm water and electricity all day because they had the generator running. The Green Hotel is a little above the YMCA outside Moshi, but in 10 to 15 minutes you can walk into the city, a taxi into the city costs only 5,000Tsh. A supermarket is within 7 minutes walking distance and even has slightly cheaper prices than the one in the city. The breakfast was not very luxurious with toast, egg and jam, but it was enough!
