Best place to stay in mikumi

Incredibly comfortable and clean rooms. Delicious food with an extensive range with buffet-style. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Great facilities. Perfect location for Mikumi National Park and traditional Maasai village visit. We didn't use the pool but it didn't look very clean.

Ideal stay for Mikumi National Park

Slept here during a safari in Mikumi. It was so nice!  We were three girls in a 3-man room wich they also sprayed at night to prevent mosquitoes! The staff were helpful and friendly! There was a chef making eggs for breakfast and I think the food was modified to fit our western preferences. We also got lunch boxes on our safari game drives! And there is a pool😌 

A pool and a wonderful staff

What an oasis in the bush! Delightful staff, delightful setting, powerful hot water. Grubs not bad either. 5000 for a beer which isn’t bad for a tourist place. If you’re safari-ing in Mikumi you should defo try here. There’s even a pool which is delightful after the dust!

Lovely spot

We spent 3 nights at camp bastien. The rooms are very large and big, there are the moschitos net but not the Windows (the nights are cool). The pool is very very beautiful. The buffer is very small (not very confortable when there are more than 3 people), the food is good, but not excellent. The wifi only at the reception (this is not very confortable). We had always hot water for the shower. I would recommend (15 minutes from mikumi gate entrance) 

Good location, very spacius rooms

I found myself very bad for, in my opinion, two major shortcomings: 1. The rooms, apart from the size, have no windows, or rather, they have them but they cannot be closed and in August it is cold. 2. The water for showering was not hot. I asked for hot water at the reception and after an hour I was able to take the hot shower, but the next morning it was cold again.

Bad experience

Perfect: attentive staff, decorating and decorating carefully. A cottage for 4 for 145 US dollars. The dinner is in buffet form: varied and correct: 7 US dollars at noon (three dishes to choose from) 9 US dollars for dinner. The drinks offered do not have a price indication on the plates count 6000 Sh. All extras are paid at the end of the stay.

I went with my friends from Jamaica, they really loved the place as I always do.

Accommodations, meals and the environment in general are always amazing.

Camp Bastian is always my home away home when am around Mikumi and Morogoro.

I have no more words to say to you lather than recommending you and come back here to correct me wrong.

A very, very very nice place to stay when visiting Mikumi National Park. 
When you arrive in the hotel; you feel you are just in an oasis of quietness and green.
There are several bungalows , and they are spotless clean. 
The pool is really nice and helps relax after a day in the car. 
Food is tasty and nice , and works as a buffet. 
Hotel also organised the entrance in the park, the guide , car and chauffeur. It was perfectly organised (including delicious lunch pack !) 
staff id amicable and helpful. 

Ideal stop for visiting the park

I will start by saying that the guides and Mikumi Park are great. The low rating is for the poor accommodations with barely room to pass on the side of the bed, such low lighting in the bathroom that we had to use our phone flashlight to see, damp towels, no air conditioning but a fan that just barely turned, and one outlet. Also, the vehicle we were picked up in (for an 8.5 hour drive) had no air conditioning and a window that was sealed shut so unless we were moving, there was no breeze. The seats had barely any cushioning so those bumpy roads were quite painful. The meals were adequate at best. We realize we were in a developing country but we paid a steep price for this sub-par experience. We can not recommend Camp Bastian.
