Awesome view, (right on the water), spacious rooms, kitchenette, very good price for the area. The owners are super friendly and will try to do anything to improve your stay. Parking available.  The hotel is not perfect but it has real character and has a wonderful ambiance. We enjoyed many winters there and were very satisfied with your stay. Highly recommend it for the budget traveler who has some flexibility.

We have stayed here several times and can't get enough of the simple beauty and kindness of our friend and owner, Eugene Hodge.  Les Alizes is simple, clean, affordable and quiet beachfront living.  We've even visited Les Alizes during a one day cruise stop at this perfect island guest house.  Don't visit if you want pampering, spas and five star dining.  Do visit if you need immediate serenity, beauty, peace of mind and no stress.  If you're a snorkler or swimmer?  This is your spot!  Location, location, location and fish galore add to the perfection.  Highly recommend for the adventurous, non-whining traveler who feels that "less is more" on vacation!

everything you need in this tucked away (in wide open ) snorkeling right off the back steps, crystal clear water , the view of the bay from the balcony, the smells of the kettle drum cooking of rack of ribs @$6.00, chicken leg and thigh @ $3.00 -- to fine dining along main st. people are so friendly

Lez Alizes in french west indies St.Martin

Traveling solo can be a challenge when your preference is self-catering accommodations in a specific place. I only wanted to stay in Grand Case for my week long getaway right before the new year. I found LA to be affordable and in the location that worked perfect for me. The property sits right at the sea, so the view was very nice and the sounds of the waves was like a lullaby. My room had 2 beds; a full and a twin. The bed was super comfortable. Wi-fi was excellent as well as the tv/cable which had every channel you could think of...comes in handy on those days when it rains. The kitchenette was efficient, but no microwave. Simple 3 piece bathroom with a shower only; water pressure was strong. A/C worked well too. If you're looking for a resort, this is not it.

A short walk from LA and you will find the best restaurants in the Caribbean, as well as, beach bars and small boutiques up and down Grand Case Blvd. 

Taxi to SXM was $35, taxi to Marigot was $20. 

TIP: If you have time take the ferry from Marigot to Anguilla ($20 each way) and only a 20 minute ride. Once there, go to Blanchard's on Meads Bay and enjoy the beautiful beach.

I felt safe at all times and both the housekeeper and Rev. Hodge were super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again.

Simple, Clean, Good Location

Booked in here after unpleasant experience with another guest house full of mosquitoes. Rev Hodge the owner was very helpful and it felt very safe and peaceful. My room had a small balcony facing the sea, the room was spacious with good sized firm double bed, flat screen tv, safe, fridge and cooking facilities and ensuite shower.  No mosquitoes and good air conditioner. Stayed for 6 days while diving. Plenty restaurants, snack bars and a convenience shop close by. Only complaint was it was only cleaned once on 2nd day and was quite messy after 6 days.
