Booked a De Luxe room for 4 nights, but it was small, basic and depressing. We left after 1 night.

This place is known as Beverleys Guest House on Bookings.com.
 
Liked · Didn't like anything about it.

If pressed, I would say that it was in a relatively convenient location (in town and close to the ferry port!) and, although not cheap, it was a budget option on an expensive island!

And I would say it appeared to once have been a decent building in a lovely garden - but not for many years.

Disliked · We paid for a De Luxe room on Bookings.com, but there was nothing at all De Luxe about it. The room was small (approx. 3m x 3m including the shower room), and was basic and depressing.

We booked 4 nights, but returned to St. Kitts after one night. A refund was requested on the grounds that the room was falsely described, but was not given.

The lock was basic (easily picked, or the door could easily be barged open!), and the corridors were accessible at any time to anyone. We had to carry passports and valuables everywhere with us.

The bottled gas cooker was basic.

There was no electric kettle and the coffee maker did not work.

There was inadequate crockery and cutlery for two persons in the room when we arrived.

There was no drawers, cupboards, or hanging rails in the room; and no hangers when we arrived. The management provided a few hangers; and when I asked where I could hang them, they suggested "on the curtain rail".

The bed was reasonably comfortable, but very low and basic. There was not enough room (in the room!) to access both sides.

Reminds me of very low budget hotels in the US. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable, only one electrical outlet across the room, harsh lighting, windows won't open, appliances broken, etc. Felt it wasn't worth the price I paid. Location is decent and staff is friendly, but would recommend paying a bit more for a much more comfortable stay elsewhere.

Sorry but place is dirty , smelly , and not very nice at all , 
I booked it because it said it had cooking facilities, but all of those were taken and all we had was a grubby little room not even a balcony, 
On the plus side , the girl that greeted us (Kerry) was absolutely lovely

Phil welcomed us and set us up in some clean and comfortable rooms with nice AC. The location is good for the price, a 15 minute walk to Pinney's beach or Charles Town, but along main roads. Considering this is the cheapest option, I would stay there again. My friends would not.

A couple of disclaimers:

-There is what the locals call a "spanish bar" next door so there was music playing till about 2 am and my friends heard some "transactions" taking place in the hallway

-the internet in the third floor was pretty intermittent

-the laundry service was 60 xcd per load and did not include folding

Clean and simple room in a convenient location I'd you can overlook a few issues

Beautiful surroundings and a very nice owner! A little hard to find at night but we asked the man at the gas station nearby and he helped us out. the view in the morning was priceless. very affordable too. we loved our stay on nevis!

Stayed at Philsha's for 2 weeks during summer, and found it to be a great place with an accommodating staff.  The place is clean and the one problem I encountered -a dripping shower head- was fixed the same day it was reported.  This is a guest house, which doesn't pretend to be 4 star establishment. They provide clean, safe accommodation, in a beautiful environment, with well tendered gardens. Bedding is changed daily and room cleaned. What more can you ask for in a guest house?

I thoroughly enjoyed awaking to my beautiful mountain and ocean view.

Philsha's doesn't pretend to be 4-Star hotel. It's a guest house!!!

Was here for culureama. The local festival. It was quiet and I love that. Beautifully gardens but no pool. It was close to the beach tho. Would come back again real soon. The third floor has the best view.

It was an average experience for average money. Call ahead of time. Mom and pop kind of place. Real simple. Easy checkin
