For only 1500 rupees per person, you will get an entrance, a soup, a dish, a dessert & a drink. Go there for 4pm to enjoy the pool overlooking the lake and the beautiful sunset.

It's a beautiful place.

We stayed one night and luckily no more. Staff was great and brought us a complimentary plate of fresh fruits (which raises my score from 1 to 2). The hotel however was less appealing...

Room was very dated, only bathroom looked nice. Floors were having holes in them, ceiling was dirty and coming down in places, the tv in the room wasn't even connected and the so aircon was dirty and made such disgusting sounds that we opted for a hot night, rather than to one with moldy air.

This place really needs a complete renovation and the setting at the lake it nice so it would perhaps pay off! Before this time: please avoid if possible!

Great Staff, crappy hotel

We stayed one night here in April'15. We got the room over looking the lake. The room was big and one side of the wall was glass over looking the lake which was beautifully lit at night.
We hardly stayed at the room as we had gone on the safari all day.

Room was decently clean- Except middle of the night we found a little mouse which was a horrifying experience. We called the staff and they put it out. This was very putting off, but the staff didnt seem too bothered by it

Overall-

Small hotel in a nice location. This hotel was under construction. We were there for 1 night. Rooms were bad and lot to improve. Mainly, it was dusty and found lots of cobwebs.  Staff members were helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced. 

Overall, not worth for the money you spend.

Nice Location!!

We stayed one night alone in November. We arrived and we liked it right away. From the hall you can see the pool overlooking the lake. Beautiful view. The room was normal, even though the towels were broken and dirty (but well...we're in Sri Lanka, you can't ask for the top). But we come to the negative sides. Dinner with card menu (in the hotel we were the only ones)... obviously you understand very little of what's there. The choice is not very wide. We go back to the room and realize that in the shower there is a mega insect. I call the guy who comes with insecticide. Kills the insect and LOCIA LI'!!!!! Pessimo!!

First impressions are not what counts!!

We stayed here for 1 night only.. it was really very bad experience. There were no tiles on bathroom wall only cement plaster , bathroom doors were broker, no dustbin in bathroom, mosquitoes were there. 
And food was just horrible. when we went for breakfast food was in open and there were houseflies on food. 

Very worst experience.

worst hotel with great view...

Spacious rooms with good view and TV. However, not many guests were there. A bit run down, with cobwebs along the corridor. Stinking bathroom, stained dry towels. Hot tap was faulty, no hot water. Felt unclean after the cold water bath in the stained bathroom. Cups and saucers were stained too. WiFi only available at hotel lobby. Their  western breakfast and dinner was ok.

Alike Safari

We've just moved into room 101, what can you tell by the room... the door handles are breathing in the air. Half the switches don't understand why. In the bathroom everything is depressing, even though the accessories are missing. The lighting is like in the cellar. Something is constantly falling on the roof. The minibar is not just empty, it's dry... the pluses are dirty food, a beautiful view of the lake, a small population.

It's a beautiful view, but a strange hotel.

Really not at all! Once the enthusiasm of the swimming pool is seen on the lake past, you realize that the water is yellow and turbulent... and so you can't cool off despite the stifling warmth of the tissues! The room is not very clean, the toilet smells like a very strong sewer (which never leaves!)... If you have a creek you can still pick up a few mushrooms that grow at the foot of the shower... Don't expect not to have one of the great dream massages that appear on the menu laid on your bed: there is no masseur, neither today, nor tomorrow, nor after tomorrow... Only you can have dinner at the hotel with your eyes closed, good food, at a very varied and very good price.

Hotel in total ruin!

The price was fine, the cleanliness and the rooms were good. The view of the lake was beautiful. A cooling at our own pool did us good. The only thing that bothered us when the breakfast buffet starts at 7:30, then it should be that way and not at 7:50 or bring things. What we were observed swimming by staff was also not pleasant.
