We stayed for three nights. Amazing location right on the beach, with easy access to the main road with restaurants and bars.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull, always present and easy to get hold of.
The place is very worn out and could use some more maintenance, especielly the shower did not have much waterpressure which gets annoying pretty quick.
We only ate breakfast here, which was average.

Good but worn out

The hotel is nice and the staff were good here. The room was clean and we had no issues. Its pretty basic and nothing fancy but I would recommend to stay here because the location is good and access to the beach and main street are very close. We stayed for three nights and the place could do with a lick of paint and some maintenance but everything else here was fine. The breakfast is a buffet style and had a decent selection.

Nice Hotel

We spent 10 days at the Sea Lotus Park Hotel which is right on the beach. It is possible to do B&B, HB or FB. Breakfast is both international and Srilankan. The staff are very kind and available. We had often a chat with Mr Nihal who is very professional and speaks very food English.

Rest at Uppuweli

We came with 3 friends and had a lovely time. The rooms were clean, the food was great and the location and price were good. The staff were super chilled and helpful, especially our chef Nihal. We came for 2 days but decided to stay longer.


Great spot

We arrived at the hotel to be handed a form without any type of greeting. We were then told our room would be 15 mins. However it took half an hour. When we got to our room it was dirty and the cleaner was still there. We went back to reception to wait for the cleaning to finish. When we went back up, it was still filthy. The sheets had stains all over them, mould had been painted over in the bathroom and surfaces had not even been wiped down. When we went back to reception again, we were told by the manager that the room would be cleaned again. On our third trip to the room, these issues were still present so we moved to a hotel next door. In summary: dirty rooms, rude staff and somewhere we would not recommend to anyone.

Disgusting hotel with rude staff

We had booked and paid for 2 nights b&b in advance. 
On arrival we were horified.
The pool was so dirty you couldn't make out the design on the tiles because the water was so cloudy.
The walk to our room was like something from a horror movie.
The "resturaunt" looked like it was closed since 1980. The Wi-Fi only worked at the pool. The rooms were dated and filthy. The bathroom was stink. I wouldn't have let my dog sleep here that's how bad it was.
When we decided to leave the manager was intimidating and didn't see a problem with the hotel. We told him we didn't care about the money we lost we just wanted to leave ASAP.

The only positive was that the beach was nice.

Disgusting 🤮

Very good location with great potentials, just by the beach but the hotel is HORRIBLE! Very dirty and not maintained in a running condition. our room was filthy, the towels and sheets were dirty with stains, totally disgusting!! hygienic conditions in this place are not non-existent. There were plenty of bugs in the room, ants, mosquitos, cockroaches… unfortunately we had to stayed there for two nights.
One star is too much for this establishment.

Awful establishment!

We spent two nights in this hotel chosen by our guide. at the view of the standard room we took the deluxe despite. But at 13000r it is very expensive in terms of services. The hotel had to stop being maintained around 2014. The last written trace of satisfied travelers. The paintings are dirty and scaled, the equipment is rusty or abandoned (an empty gym room, a swimming pool whose surroundings are crumbling, etc.). There is no shelter from the sun on the beach or umbrellas. You have to pray for an old mattress and a nice beach bathroom that has served better days. The beach is clean, with dirt and no demand. The service is clean, and the equipment is not clean.

to avoid it at all costs

We had our worst accomodation experience at this hotel. The rooms were extremely dirtyand there were cockroaches everywhere. We had a terrible night fighting with cockroaches until the morning. (we found 5 in just one night, ONE IN THE BED!) when we asked the staff to help us, they cleaned the room very poorly, with tiny bit of soap. This obviously didnt help us get rid of the cockroaches. In the end we had to ask for soap and clean the room ourselves!

The AC and wifi werent working in the rooms either.

DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

We stayed, fortunately, only one night in this terrible hotel on the coast of Uppuveli. I'm sorry but we're not there: the hotel is expensive and it's right for the management to understand that in the face of a cost there is also an offer of quality. Here nonexistent. We start from the room: there are three different categories (cheap, basic and superior). we choose the superior, if you can call it so, located on the first floor of the inn. Already from the stairs you can see that the structure is old and very dirty: the wooden branches of the premises contained in the broken branches from humidity and non-maintenance. We enter the room. The old building with various components in water is made up of a combination of all the fungi, water unstained from the weather, mirrored milk and dirty dough and dirty dough, one of the two dirty panes that can be made out of dirty dough, which is possible during the trip to the hotel.
