I arrived in Tangalle to spend two days but the place is beautiful and the hotel convinced me to stay two more days. I left this hotel not knowing what to expect. We all know that bookingy offers many "surprises", but I can confirm that it is worth staying here. You have the sea at 20 meters, the rooms have a balcony and sea view, the air conditioning works perfectly, hot water, very large rooms. The owner is very available. It is far beyond what is seen in the pictures. I can say that it is the second hotel in Sri Lanka where I can say that I stayed very well. The center is a 10-minute walk away. In the area you will find restaurants where you can eat well. I recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. Tangalle is magical, far beyond Mirissa

Wonderful view, large and clean rooms

Big, clean room, close to the beach with a good seaview. The owner is really helpful. The bed is big an comfy, AC works. Very cheap and yet the best place so far in Sri Lanka! Restaurants and bars on both sides, still no noise. 

Best stay!

Rooms very clean and spacious. Good aircon and helpful owner. Perfect location among restaurants, cafes and beach. Outstanding views of the beach and great value for money. WiFi signal wasn't the best but didn't bother us. 

Great location

We originally booked a different hotel which didn’t live up to its ratings so we found this one. 
We got a better room for less than half the price. 
Room was clean and tidy and the staff helpful and friendly.  The WiFi had a pretty good connection. Just outside the hotel was the hotel restaurant with its own strip of beach. Food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast was provided too which was also tasty. 

Beach chill out

Well I have to say what a lovely place. The rooms big and clean and the owner not at all pushy ! First placed we stayed that didn’t try and flog is a trip. Great location, helpful owner and comfy bed. Recommend this place to my gran!

Lovely place

We came across the Shanika after booking Wavy Ocean through Booking.com. Fortunately the owner of Wavy Ocean couldn't be bothered to open up for us so we sought an alternative and found Shanika.
We had one of the top floor room which was both clean and modern with a big bathroom and great air-conditioning which actually worked and was quiet. There is a kettle in the room too.
Our balcony was big and we were only 20m from the sea front.
The owner left us to our own devices but was there if we needed anything.
Would thoroughly recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Tangalle.
