Seetha is a charming woman who treats her visitors as her children.She supports and advises everyone.She cooks traditional dishes that you should not miss! Equipment and accommodation are primary. But what matters is the impeccable service and assistance of Dr Seetha.

Feeling at Home (visit in 2015)

Very cheap and basic; room was okay but small and hot, breakfast was fine and bathrooms were very basic. I didn't really feel at home. It was ok for one night but I definitely couldn't have stayed two. It's ok because the price is so low but there are nicer places to stay. Good if you're on a budget and don't look for luxury!

Nothing special but ok

I stay at this hostel for too long and it feels like home, the owner is friendly,  they have free wifi and breakfast. The place have nice garden with table, To chill!   And just walking distance to beach! And 20 min to the airport! 

Second home

After traveling Asia for 14 months this is the worst hostel I've stayed at. Here's why. After sleeping a night on a pillow stinking old swet and with sheets too small to cover the bed what was worse happened. After packing my stuff and asking where I could keep it I said I will see later if I extend or not because I tried to reschedule a flight which i managed to do.

After spending the day out coming back I used my computer a little in the common area to reschedule the flight and surf a bit. After some time they came to me and asked if I would extend or not and I said I will leave later as I managed to reschedule my flight. They then said I would have to pay extra for keeping my stuff and bevause I used the toilet, electricity and WiFi. I strongly opposed. However I after some time asked how much.. They said they needed to know exact what time I would leave in order to calculate the price.. The conversation pretty much died from there but after the previous arguments and me telling this never ever happened to me on a hostel before they said if I left now I could go without extra charge. They also told me that it was common practice in their place to charge per hour if you wanted to be or keep stuff anywhere in their property after checkout time. 

The family running the hostel lives in the house but they don't seem to like guests so do them a favor and don't bother them. Poor value for money, happy it only was one night. Facilities are simple but I can totally live with that as long as I'm treated as a person and not just a box of money. 

In 14 months this is the worst hostel

The hostel is basic, you kind of get what you pay for.. Quick drive from the airport and only a short walk to the beach and various restaurants. I arrived at the hostel at 7.30am after my flight to Sri Lanka, luckily the owners let me check in immediately. The beds were ok, in my 6 bed down there were only 2 sockets that worked. I was on my own in a room so it didn't really cause any inconvenience;) It will probably be annoying if the room is full

Basic hostel

I stayed here for a night last week.

I was traveling from the other side of the island and was going to arrive early hours of the morning, so I called the hostel and they have a 24hr service desk and said it was fine. I arrived in true Sri Lankan time about 2 hours after I originally planed at 2.30am!!! 

I had a female dorm room, which had 2 others in the room, I crept in and went straight to sleep as I was tired. 

In morning I had a shower in the communal area and then sat down for breakfast, I had yummy pancakes, fruit and tea which was included in the price. 

I wasn't keen on the parrot in a small cage swinging where we ate breakfast. It either needs an Avery or be released where it can be free. 

Over all fantastic value for money, clean and good breakfast!!!

The hotel's tuk tuk driver (K Jude) was nice and effective for the Negombo tours.

Seetha keeps her hostel alive with her cheerful and kind spirit, cooks like a goddess and helps wherever she can! You will be very welcome and welcomed here! The accommodation is not luxurious, but it offers everything you need (not a single mosquito net is available on all the beds): Wi-Fi, fans, space to rest and organize. The location is great: close to the beach and between Negombo tourist street (exit right) and something authentic and cheaper Negombos. There are tucktucks and buses to train stations and airports, while the other one is much cheaper, although a little more strenuous!

Kind and simple

One of the best guest houses I've ever been to, one of the cheapest in Negombo, the two women who run the house are very nice and offer breakfast and dinner, and after a month of traveling in Sri Lanka I can say that the best local food has been at this place.

Very pleasant atmosphere, excellent quality  price

My stay left a general unpleasant impression, even though the price was low, the beach was a 5-minute walk away, a great breakfast, and you could always meet interesting travelers. There was only one name left of the famous hostess, who was praised in all the reviews: she didn't even say hello, then she was constantly complaining about a huge number of guests and their questions, which made it impossible to ask any questions.
