It's a lovely cozy Inn with basic amenities located on a lovely Area in Kandy, walking distance to the Kandy View Point 
warm hospitality by the owners who take care so much of your needs very efficiently and swiftly 
Cozy clean rooms with balcony views of the Kandy Lake 
Breakfast choice was good with Continental & Sri Lankan and decent quantity well prepared with home taste

Homely place to stay in Kandy

Really nice family! Very welcoming and helpful. Nice food aswell😋 would recommend. It’s close to Kandy lake and the view from the balcony is really nice. Warm water showers and the family is really helpful with giving recommendations. I enjoyed my stay!

Helpful family and lovely view.

We were only in Kandy a short time and this was a lovely place to spend some of it. Stunning views, great breakfast. The owner arranged a transport for us down south which was very well priced and the driver was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot, great service

My partner and I stayed at the McLeod Guesthouse in Feb 2022 and absolutely loved it. It has an amazing location with incredible views over the lake, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, the breakfast and evening food were great and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated being able to leave our suitcases with them whilst we went on a two-day hiking trip in the Knuckles Ranges. McLeod Guesthouse is just a few minutes from Expeditor so it’s very convenient if you’re going hiking with that company. The hosts very kindly bought train tickets on our behalf and were wonderfully accommodating throughout. They also have access to a very professional tuk tuk driver. Would highly recommend.

Amazing customer service, incredible location and views, great rooms, excellent value for money

A beautiful, cozy family run guest house. The owner of this guest house is extremely good person to stay at his place. The entire environment is very homely and you can spend long time there too. The view from balcony over the city is very nice. I would love to go back there to spend some relaxing time.

Home away home

This is a great hotel in Kandy with some fantastic views . Ashan and his wife are genuine and helpful people . They helped us arrange our tour to knuckles and drop off to the train station . The knuckles tour with Ranjan has been the highlight of our trip so far and I would recommend for anyone looking for adventure to book this . Ashan was quick to reply to all my queries before our visit . The hotel is a 10 min walk to Kandy lake using the shortcut. The rooms are clean, spacious and provide all the amenities you will need . The views from the balcony are perfect to wind down after a long afternoon . We ate dinner at the hotel both nights and the food on offer was delicious . Thank you for your hospitality .

Hotel with a view

We booked this hotel with a couple of friends after comparing many options. Couldn’t be happier! Walking distance of the center, the personnel was super proactive and nice. Lastly, what a view!! Gorgeous! We had a wonderfull stay and would definitly recommend!

Wonderfull hotel

Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Great location with a view over the town. The food in the hotel was excellent you wont even need to eat elsewhere. Very clean, making it a good comfortable base for a stay in Kandy. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly, good place to stay.

We loved McLeod Inn for many reasons. The friendly guesthouse is quietly located on the hill, but still only 10 minutes walking from the lake in the center. Our room was very clean, simple but comfortable, with a super view on downtown Kandy. We enjoyed sitting on the communal balcony, having our afternoon tea. A delicious breakfast was served in their little restaurant (of course with fantastic view). 
Special thanks to Mr. Ashan for booking our train tickets to Ella. Without his help we probably wouldn’t have been able to do this memorable journey. Ashan and his wife have been welcoming travelers for many decades now and know how to make you feel at home instantly. Great service and valuable information, all straight from their heart. We definitely would choose again for McLeod Inn for a next visit to Kandy!

Clean rooms, great service, best views…!!

I stayed here for 2 nights, paid the little extra to have the view of the lake. There is an increíble triple window in the room to see the lake stupa and temple of the tooth.

Achan was super smiley and helpful,so was his wife. 
There is soap, wifi, hot water, water boiler and tea in your room. It's amazing

I really don't understand the 1star reviews that are completely the opposite of what I have experienced. 
Great welcome especially if rough covid times with the cases augmenting this October.
