Everything was perfect - from the service to the beds and breakfast in the morning we couldn’t ask for anything more! They surprised us with an anniversary cake which made everything extra special. Thank you! 

Perfect!!

Staying at Neela’s for 10 nights was the perfect decision!
Neela, her Son, Daughter in Law, Grandsons and ALL the staff could not have been more wonderful! We loved talking to them in a daily basis, learning about the history of Neela’s and their lives in general. I loved chatting about their beautiful garden which they are very proud of.Our room was beautiful. Even though the bathroom needed some maintenance it was IMMACULATELY clean so we didn’t care. Fan and air con excellent. The view out to sea was breathtaking. We ate breakfast downstairs at the beach every single morning. It was excellent. My favourite evening meal was prawn and mango curry. Omg! ❤️ Outstanding service with everything. They brought me Ceylon tea and g&t to my sun lounger on the beach every day. 
Every single thing about our stay here made our wonderful holiday complete. They all waved us off in the cab when we left and we both cried. Wonderful, wonderful people.

...prima team right on the Indian Ocean 💪 very good restaurant with a wonderful terrace ☀️Lots of surfing opportunities and probably the best sunset on the island...so the perfect place to slow down 💪

Great location, great value and really good service.  Room 203 is great for a family - double bed and single with aircon and great balcony plus fridge in room.  Staff really helpful, beach towels provided.  Breakfast really tasty and flexible in timings.  Dinner at Neelas also great and lovely cold beers.  Free sunbeds too.   Definitely one of best places to stay in Hikka as at quieter end of beach but still lots of bars around.  Shops, supermarket all close by and plenty of tuktuks if you want to go further afield.

Nice guesthouse with mainly European guests in direct beachside with great service, very clean - well-equipped rooms and an absolutely outstanding crew. Whether the housekeeping team, the restaurant crew or the host, Chamara & family - all do their best to make you feel at home as a guest from the first minute. Have you seen some guesthouses in Hikkaduwa and surrounding areas - Neelaspak has by far the best overall dining.

Great guesthouse right on the beach.

As an early riser, I always met Neela at sunrise and tea on the beach terrace. It was fantastic to talk about the past, the present and the future. I myself worked at a beach resort and took part in the efforts that are needed to get everything back up after the rainy season. Here it is done every year with a lot of love and dedication to detail. Everything was tip top, the rooms are fresh and the team is attentive, friendly, funny. Don 't forget to wake up early

I've spent some great night's at Neela's Beach Guesthouse.  The wonderful staff arranged a pick up from the airport, which was quite nice. I had a very warm welcoming by the owner and the other staff at Neela's and they even brought me a fresh juice after i checked into my room. The room was very clean, comfortable and pretty well equipped, with everything you might need during your stay. The fact that you only need a minute to walk down to the beach was also very nice. Their restaurant is located right at the beach and the food and the staff there is amazing. But keep in mind that the restaurant is only open from November to April.

Amazing Hotel

We stayed here for two nights in the top floor suit and loved every minute of it! The room was clean, airy and had views of the ocean.  The owner was so friendly as were all the staff.  Breakfast was yummy and we ate there for dinner once and that was yummy too! I’d highly recommend staying here!

Worth a stay!

We spent a wonderful week in March 2022 in Neela's Beach Gesthouse. We had a very worm welcome by the owner. Since we arrived to the hotel directly after 10 hr flight and quite early (around 9.30 a.m.) we really appreciated the fact, that the room was ready to check in and all administration staff was postponed till the next day. So after quick refreshment we could enjoy the ocean swim and a cold bear at the beach. During our stay we felt as a members of the owner's family. The room was cleaned, bottled water delivered, a/c worked perfectly. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. We would recommend this hotel to everyone, who wants to spend nice moments in very comfortable conditions, just 50 meters from the ocean.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, beautiful beach!

Great location, right at the decent part of the beach.  Took 1 minute after leaving my room to reach the  bar/dining area and beach, ideal.
Great accommodation with a very caring and thoughtful owner supported by very friendly and efficient staff.
Room was ideal and very clean, hot water available at all times and room cleaned at least every 2 days or upon request.  Lots of nice little touches to make you feel comfortable such as bottled water upon arrival in the rooms, tap to rinse your feet when coming off the beach, bookcase with books and odd toiletries left by other holiday makers etc.
Food from the restaurant was very good and fairly priced.  I would thoroughly recommend Neela's.  We extended our stay by 2 days because we enjoyed it there so much.  I recommend it and when we return to Sri Lanka it will be to Neela's.  If you are wondering whether to book it or not, I strongly suggest you do, you will not be disappointed.
