We met, we hosted, we told, we showed, we had a Russian-speaking host, we had the feeling of a second home... we had a 4-year vacation with our granddaughter, we liked everything... except the noise of passing trains... everything else was good... excellent breakfast, good kitchen and equipment, good air conditioning, ocean proximity (100 meters through the railway line - more careful!!!), the hospitality of the host and the service... and most importantly, a rarity for Sri Lanka, a natural oceanfront swimming pool close to the rocks... It was a place where we often bathed with our granddaughter, not afraid of huge waves... It was a decent place!!!

It's all great. Michael, Passat, Chandam... they're like family.

We booked a room through Booking and we arrived under the flood there was no room, there was little professionalism and little reliability, all this after a two-hour train ride, unacceptable, since inverted roles, I would have to pay a penalty.

Unreliable

We're not in season, we're alone in the hotel, so you can say for only 305 dollars we have a two-story villa. A girl comes in the morning and cooks breakfast, yes, a little ascetic decoration in the room, but we don't need anything but a bathroom and a bed) I advise for those who want to travel, not rest in the room.

Price to quality ratio

We stayed here for 4 nights, nice location, 2 min walk from the beach, near the railways (but it won't disturb you). Really hard to find, even locals don't know where it is exactly).
We stayed on the 1st floor, The room was clean, everything is good, except for the pillows were too small. Great wi-fi:)
Can't say that the host was somehow helpful, we saw him only once, but his assistant was quite helpful and friendly.
All in all can recommend this place for a short stay.


Pleasant stay

The owner and the personel are very helpfull. The food is really good. The room is simple and clean. Really close to the beach. Also close to the rail but it is not disturbing. I recommand the place.....

welcoming and calm

The room is very clean and air-conditioned and the breakfast is more than pleasant. You can't be closer to the sea, for the world's best lovers and at a very reasonable price, there is no hesitation. There is a train that passes a little less than a hundred meters from here, for my part, I paid little attention to it, just two or three times during the past eight days there. I have a great memory of this week, thank you!!

The owner Michael helped us out with some things, great service. The breakfast was also really good! We can't give 5 stars because of the realy noisie ground floor bedroom. Early in the morning you hear a lot of noise in the livingroom and kitchen. Also the train who is passing by. During the night the AC makes so much noise, you cant take him off, because of the heat. The blankets are to small. If they fix this issue's, it wil be a perfect villa.
