For me, the best hotel in La Alpujarra, I've been going since I was 20 and I'm 52....Only the aroma that comes out is magnificent...The ultra-clean rooms...And the bedding, spectacular, neat and light...And they treat you like home.Happy birthday and so on.Ah, I'm not familiar with them or anything like that.

Fabulously beautiful.

Excellent two-night stay at Hotel la Fragua... located high up in the Alpujaras mountains... the accommodation is basic but very comfortable and immaculately clean.... breakfast was served in the cafeteria.... staff very pleasant and helpful.... there is a swimming pool at the adjacent sister hotel.... I would also recommend Meson la Fragua restaurant serving excellent food with local products... the town of Trevelez is incredibly peaceful and quiet... thank you Excellent stay of two nights at Hotel la Fragua... located high up in the Alpujaras mountains... the accommodation is basic and comfortable and is impeccably clean... the desay cab is served in the cafeteria... the personal sound is pleasant and serves very well.... there is a swimming pool at the hotel brother adendarya... also the restaurant that is incredibly peaceful but also recommends excellent local products... thanks to Meson la Fragua...

A great stay in the mountains of the Alpujaras.

It's a one-star hotel, so you shouldn't expect luxuries, but it does offer good education, beautiful views, a pleasant atmosphere, and absolute silence at night, all of which are quite valuable and not always easy to find, the double room has what it takes, no decorations, and the TV could be better oriented and the closet could be bigger, but those details, essential in a four-star, can be overlooked.

No pretensions, but very pleasant.

I booked my stay at the Fragua I hotel at the beginning of June, looking forward to meeting Trevélez in a nice hotel that promised things like a balcony with views and a bathtub. First of all, if you have claustrophobia, get out of the way. What you will find is a room with a small window with views over a wall and a ridiculously small shower table. You will also be able to enjoy spectacular treatment by the staff, laughing in your face and talking to you as if you were the neighbor of the fifth. A supervisor (or we don't really know the charge) who to fill out a complaints sheet seemed to need three careers and a master's degree because the cost of filling out his data was enough to make it valid.

What you buy versus what you receive.

We made a reservation by booking on June 1st, for the first weekend of August, we made the ckeck-in with a wooden star with fantastic views of the white wall of the building and so far all right, the problems began when we entered the room, the site did not match the specifications indicated on the page, someone went to the guest by hand writing and posting photos that did not match the reality of our room) starting from the room with Balcón con grandes vistas... Lies in Trevélez

Right at the top of the village with a lovely roof terrace with incredible views. My room off the roof terrace was clean and quite adequate.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
One stupid hiccup was the lack of a hook for the cord to keep the roller blind up, which of course you wanted to for the beautiful views!

Clean and good value

Trevelez is a beautiful, rural, sleepy mountain village - more like an alpine or andean town. La Fragua, II and the restaurant seem to be the centre of the middle barrio and all are perfect for where you are. We were walking for four days and the hotel is simple, a welcome fire, ample breakfast and a great restaurant within a few steps. The owner is an accomplished climber and adventurer and the walls are adorned with superb images of expeditions past. 

Given the nature of our visit it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and quiet. It isn't a luxury hotel but it is warm, has a very accommodating and welcoming family/staff at the helm and very affordable. If you are going to the Sierra Nevada for luxury I fear you are in the wrong - friendly people, good hearty food and wonderful mountains is what it is all about.  A perfect combination.

Budget, welcoming comfort.

Nice place to stay, and Emma who runs it, very helpful even though very busy. The restaurant, just down the road from the hotel, served very good food; all 4 courses of it! After a long day walking really hit the jackpot

Good place and great food

Very good traditional Spanish kitchen, excellent food.
The waiters are very friendly and speak good English.
A nice restaurant and on the first floor you have a beautiful view.
I recommend this restaurant when you visit this area.

We had lunch in this corner of paradise after a nice ride through the snow-covered Sierra, which is a beautiful place in the upper district of Trevelez, home of the Serrano ham, we tasted a sublime Serrano ham sandwich, a dish of peach and pork sausage filled with ham and cheese. The dishes were accompanied by potatoes, peppers, plated tomatoes and cabbage salad.
