The hotel is situated in the main square, an easy 20 min walk from the bus station.
It is a great base to explore the old town on foot.  
Rooms are old but very clean and comfortable.The bathroom is small and also very clean. There is a supermarket 5 mins walk and many restaurants and bars downstairs.

Minimal English is spoken at reception and their credit card machine is problematic ( maybe by choice) so be prepared to pay in cash if required.

Some negatives:
There are many flights of stairs - the rooms are on floor 2&3 with no elevator.
There is no aircon so maybe hot in summer.
Rooms can be a bit noisy but you are in the center of town.

In summary this hotel represents great value for the location and facilities offered. I would recommend it for a short stay.

Great location -  Next to Main Square

The hostel is very well located, right in the middle of the old town. The staff is very polite and will be willing to help you make your experience more satisfying. The place is clean and quiet (3rd floor with no lift, but that was no hindrance, at least for us), a good option is you just want to hit the streets and have some nice place to sleep. If you go there, don't give up on the hot water; it takes a little while but it eventually shows up!

El hotal está muy bien situado, en pleno centro del casco antiguo. El personal es muy amable y estarán encantados de ayudarte a que tu experiencia sea más satisfactoria. El lugar es limpio y tranquilo (3er piso sin ascensor, pero eso no ha sido un incordio, al menos para nosotros), una buena opción si simplemente quieres patear las calles y tener un sitio agradable para dormir. Si vas ahí, no des el agua caliente por perdido; tarda un ratito, pero al final aparece!

Great choice for your stay in Oviedo

In an excellent position very near the square, cathedral, etc, but the rooms are on the third floor and there's no lift, which can be a bit dispiriting if you've got a lot of luggage. 

My room was plain and simple, with a good, modern bathroom. I slept fairly well. There's a spare blanket in the cupboard for if it's cold. 

The man on the reception desk in the afternoon was very helpful with directions, advice for restaurants, etc, but there was no-one there in the morning so I had to just leave the keys in the room.

Not expensive.

Stairs

The hostal is located just off the main plaza of the historic area, which is very convenient. I found the room to be comfortable and clean. The receptionists were very helpful.
