Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos Hotel

Not our first stay, and it won't be our last! Cala Domingos has EVERYTHING we want from a family holiday. A week 'getaway' with my daughter for her 17th birthday. The first time, we had travelled alone but couldn't have felt more looked after. Special requests emailed to the hotel in advance were honoured, and a lovely non-acholic bottle of fizz and macarons were delivered to our room for my daughter's birthday. A lovely touch! The food, as always, was great quality with a wide variety of choices. The drinks are plentiful and branded. We were blessed with the best weather during our stay. The glorious sunshine 🌞 brought everyone to the pools, but the sun loungers were plentiful, especially at the pool closer to the beach ⛱️. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, and we enjoyed leisurely walks during the afternoons. But for those moments when we prefered speed, the golf buggies were not far away and often stopped to check whether a ride was needed. There is a 15-minute walk across the headland to Cala de Mallorca if a trip to the local shops is needed. We went once but had no other desire to leave the complex. For those wishing to see more of Majorca, the resort is quite isolated, but a local bus service operates frequently to other resorts from the reception area. The entertainment was very good; we particularly enjoyed 'The Addams Family Musical' by the entertainment team - very professional! It's good to hear the tunes 🎶 we have come to know and love at the end of the day by the pool. It's great to watch families with little ones getting involved. The entertainment team does an excellent job! A courtesy room was available before check out. A 30-minute time slot can be booked before departure to freshen up before the journey home. We did miss having the room key on our wristband during this stay - we would love this to be reintroduced. We were locked out of our room by the cleaner at one point and needed to get another key card. No problem to get another, but the wristband would have been handy! We will be back later in the year with extended family. Thank you once again!
